|gennie||RE: Source Question - Obituary|
It was from the Milford Chronicle. I restore old tombstones and have access to old newspapers.

Hello Ayanah, I have made some requests to update memorials under your care. Could you take the time to review and accept them? Thanks. Mike

|KL91||RE: Peter & Alice Dunn|
You're welcome! I'm glad that what I found was able to help others with their tree! Peter and Alice Dunn are also my 3rd Great Grandparents (I'm the direct descendant of their daughter Catherine Dunn Harding).

|Roy Fisher||RE: Mary Ann (Schaeffer) Bowman|
Wow, I did not have her obit. I can't thank you enough! This also gave me the name of one of her daughters as Mrs. George Fair. With that I'll be able to figure out if that is the husband of daughter Isabella or Hannah.
It looks like I'll have to become a subscriber to newspapers.com by itself or as part of Ancestry.com.
Are you related?

|Mindy||RE: Thank you! (C.W. Reed)|
No, problem. Glad to help. Do you want a transfer? I am not related to anyone in that cemetery so I'll transfer all your relatives that are in the area. Mindy

|Clinton McClellan Smith||RE: Pictures?|
Yes there are one hundred sixty (160) engraved portraits in The History of Washington County, New York, by Crisfield Johnson, published in 1878. The engraver used photographs to make the portraits.
Nice to make your acquaintance.
Clinton McClellan Smith
P.S. There is sometimes additional information found in the captions on each picture which can be found by clicking on the portrait.

|Mary Anne||Alfred Bain (1859-1860) S. Argyle Cem|
I could not find a stone for this baby in searching the entire cemetery. As you know, there are many, many Bains there. Do you know who Alfred's parents were? If you could add this information to your request, it might help me (or another volunteer) locate a stone. I did find one Bain plot with a very badly damaged stone which is next to a stone for Mary Hannah wife of John B. Bain. Could they be his parents?

Regarding your request to link John and Addie to their mother, I am unable to do that. The link would be on John and Addie's memorial. You would need to contact the manager for those memorials in order to link Martha. However, I will write up the bio on Martha with as much history as I have to date. Most of the information is on our tree at Ancestry.com, under the Rev Ollie Tackett Family tree.

Thank you for asking. As long as you follow the conditions you stated (listing source, private tree, etc), you may post the photo to your private tree. Good luck with your genealogy!

PS If you don't want to manage them, just transfer them back.. it would be a shame for them to get deleted.. I don't mind managing them if you don't want to :)

|CCW||Peter John Burke|
I tried to find a headstone in the area that said Peter John Burke, but the only Burke stone I came across was the one I posted on the memorial. Please feel free to re-post your request and delete and or keep the photos, I'm sorry I couldn't find exactly what you were looking for. Hopefully these Burkes are at least relatives? I'm going to create memorials for them so that they are in the system, if you want me to transfer management of the Burkes memorials to you, I would be happy to, just let me know.

I meant to tell you that my grandfather was Manning Eleazer Temples and his mother was a Durden. I don't think it is a direct line, but it is the same Durdens' that we are kin to. Small world. I will get the other picture for you and I will try to get some pictures of the headstone in detail so you can see it better.

|Rainy||Eleazer Durden Photo|
I found Eleazer Durden. He was right where he was supposed to be...beside Ean. I am sorry about that. The stone said Ellie Durden and it just took me awhile to catch on to it. I guess that might qualify for the biggest blonde moment ever. I did load the picture for you. Have a great day.

|SparkyErickson||RE: Blanke Headstones|
No problem at all! The cemetery has a very obvious older section, so I started there and it took no time at all! I will send the file of all the pics to your Gmail account. It will be from ImSparkyC@aol.com. That way you can proceed however you like! Take care and happy hunting! ~Sparky

Hi, I posted a pic of Mary Blanke's Stone today. I also have the photo of her husband, August's Stone. The stone that I imagine was for the children is unreadable. It is significantly older and right next to the two other graves. I took a photo of it anyway just in case you need it. Just let me know!
