How wonderful- yes I am related- he was a cousin to my dad. My grandmother was Temple Shere- Will Shere's daughter. Ambrose Shere and Will Shere were brothers.

RE: Oakdale gravestones
You're welcome. After going back and looking at the ones I did for you, I noticed I added a Edward W. Washburn stone to the memorial you had but it was for the wrong Edward. The death dates are different. So I deleted the photo and created a memorial and have transferred it to you as he is buried with the other Washburns.

RE: Erastus Harden
Thank you for your quick response. I have some of the information that you are speaking about. Could you send any additional information directly to me. I can share the yDNA results with you and provide you with a outline of my family. But I don't think I can upload it to this forum. Over the last 22 yrs. I have been to Bedford, Somerset, Fayette, Greene and Washington Counties in PA to do research. Also I grew up in Allegany CO MD so I've done extensive research there. I went roller skating as a teen to Bedford, PA. The yDNA is the real kicker. It places my line into this family. I have undisputable documentation back to William Harden in Fayette Co. Definitely not to be confused with the "HARD "I" N's of Capt John Sr & Jr. of Fayette, Springhill Twp. This one William (and his dna)stands alone in Fayette. He is the only one from PA that connects with the your line. Do you know any Harden Males that would be a direct line back to your Harden ancestors that may volunteer to take this test? I really am trying hard to connect the PA and Ohio lines with a paper trail, but they were so poor it is very difficult to do that. I have Fayette Co tax records that place William in Fayette co in 1808 and then in 1809 there is a William and a James. James leaves the county and isn't there after 1809 with an occupation of wagoner. I think this James was William's brother and went back to Ohio, but I can't locate him out there. I think the Isaac b. 1748 had Isaac and James as sons and William was the one they left behind in PA...

Erastus Harden
Lynn, I believe I am related to Erastus Harden through yDNA testing that I had done several years ago. I am trying to connect the Harden's that moved from PA out to Ohio and westward in the early 1800's. Can we share information? I am descendant from William Harden b. ca. 1767 d. between 1846-47 as evidenced through tax records and other documents for Fayette Co., PA. Are you familiar with the genetic testing processes? I'm looking for any active HARDEN researchers that may be out there.

Florence Ralli
Hello Linda,

Thanks for the note. I have photos of Florence and my grandfather. Unfortunatley my grandfather passed away when I was very young back in 1964. I visited Florence in 1982 while out in Phoenix on business. We had lunch and discussed all the time that had passed and what my grandfather had done since he moved to Phoenix with her back in 1960. They lived out in Long Island, NY for many many years in North Port.
Florence and my grandfather never had any children. It was the second marriage for my grandfather who married Florence I think sometime around 1940 or so. His first wife ( Margurite Ralli is my grandmother who died in 1982 two years before Florence passed away.
In meeting with Florence, it was really nice to hear first hand all of the things which my grandfather was involved with and his life in general. He publised a book called Reflections which was a book of Poems on life in general.

Florence and Reginald had a home in Phoenix which was very nice, not too far from the Hyatt in downtown ( about 15 miles or so ). I never met Archie but he was alive then and I wondered that he has probably passed away since then.
Florence and Reginald met in NY while she was starting her career at the VA. Reginald had two children with my grandmother Margurite, Jack Ralli ( my dad who is now 87 and still alive and well, and my aunt - Dellcia Marion Ralli who passed away at the age of 91 last year. My Dad had met Florence at Reginalds funeral which was held in Plainfield, NJ back in 1964 and all were shocked when they saw my dad and saw how identical he looked like Reginald.
Florence bequested everything over to Archie when she passed so all went to that side of the family. Not that that was an interest to us as the Ralli's and my grandmother were very well off.
So interesting to find distant relations to family. Florence was also very close friends with Reginals only sister: Pauline Ralli who is my great aunt who passed away back in 1987 at the age of 94. She was a world wide traveler and help create a school for the deaf in New York ( The Nitchie School ) and published many books in how to teach lip reading. My dad still receives royalities from the publication ( What People Say ) by Pauline Ralli.
Florence and Pauline visited many times even after Florence and Reginald moved to Phoenix back in 1960. Thanks again for the information.
