William Lorenzo Wood
There are two William Lorenzo Wood(s).

The link that you sent to me is for William L Wood that passed away in 1957. He has a marker for a wife named Mary. M.

There is a William that passed away in 1935, that does not state a wife's name on the death certificate.

Barbara Teasley Bookamer
Elizabeth Holland Neal
In the findagrave info it shows her parents and siblings. However, I have her parents as Littleberry Holland and Mary Holland.

Can you tell me where the info on her parents and siblings came from? She and Alfred Fatheree were my third great grandparents.

Jacob Remaley
If you'll look in my 3X Great-grandparents Virtual Cemetery you'll find my ancestor Jacob Remaley. His daughter Julia Catherine Remaley Renshaw was one of my great-great-grandmothers. Then her son Marsh K Renshaw was my mother's father's father. His son James Francis Renshaw was my Grandpa Jim.

If we are cousins I'll be looking forward to adding info for your part of the family.

RE: Barbara J. Anderson
Geneva, I don't know for sure, but I don't think the Barbara J. Anderson in Woodlawn Cemetery is the daughter of Charles and Naomi Hoge. I am sending you an email, so if you don't see it in your inbox, check your spam folder.

Geneva, I really don't know the answer to your question, I wish I did. I quickly checked a few things to see if I could find the answer with no luck. Maybe we'll get lucky and find his obit! Luella

RE: Adeline Loughridge
You're welcome! :) I've sent edits to link her to her parents and at least one husband, not sure if I sent the edit to link her to Leander Burger or not - I was working on Leander's family a while back and just now got to her branch of the family. Thanks!

RE: Wood family
No, I am not related. I was looking at findagrave cemetery Upper Octoraro Presby and saw a photo request. Since I couldn't get the photo, I thought I'd offer that. As I said, if unwelcomed, I'll delete it.

I did not see an obit for his wife.

Avery Addie Garrett Davis
Thank you, Geneva! If anyone else in the family knows where she is buried or has a photo please have them message me. I would greatly appreciate it! :)

Thanks for your replies about Addie Avery Garrett Davis
Sorry i've taken so long to reply - have had a lot going on! Thank you so much for your replies about "Avery". I imagine her correct legal name was Addie Avery since that's the way Soc. Sec. has it listed - so she probably just listed by her middle name when the census taker came around and later in life.

So, i take it you don't have a photo of her or know where she is interred? Or did you just forget to mention these things in your replies? I would love to know so i can update her memorial and have someone take a photo of her gravemarker for it. Thanks, again!

Avery Addie Garrett Davis (cont')
PS: And one more thing i left out, i have yet to locate her obit or grave, which i'm hoping to do soon so i can complete her memorial. Do you know where she and her husband, Charles Thomas Davis, Jr., are interred? She's not in Oak Grove Cem. in Yoakum with her brothers and parents (or she could be there - but it's just not been entered in the cemetery's records/photos yet). Thanks again!

Avery Addie Garrett Davis
Hello Geneva,
I see you have done phenomenal genealogical work hooking up all the Garretts! I just made a memorial for Avery Addie Garrett Davis (or Addie Avery and hooked her up to her parents. I'm not sure if her name is properly Addie Avery or Avery Addie. In the records i've found it both ways (mostly Addie Avery) but I noticed you said in one of the memorials you wrote that it was "Avery Addie".

If you didn't know - you probably do- she worked at the Texas School Book Depository and was an eyewitness to Pres. Kennedy's assassination. As an amateur JFK researcher I am always working on findagrave memorials for the TSBD employees and other eyewitnesses, and on identifying them in the photographic and film record taken that day - it's one of my interests/hobbies. I and others who work on this consider it to be an important part of history that needs to be acknowledged and preserved for present and future generations.

In 1963, as a JFK assassination witness, she went by "Avery" in her FBI and DPD witness statements. Many people, including my father, do go by their middle names. But i would like to get her memorial correct for her and history's sake. Is Avery her legal first name or middle name? or Addie?

Also, i see you have lots of great, old, Garrett family photos you've posted and so i'm writing to you hoping (fingers crossed!) you might have a photo of Avery you could share with me to post, or upload yourself, to her memorial. Seeing that you are a family member who is into genaeology, I'm hoping you will have a photo of Avery and if not you will know a family member who does. That would be very special!

Those of us who do this work have located many photos of the TSBD employees and other witnesses via class yearbooks and obituaries, but try as I may i've been unable to find a photo of Avery or her "step-mate" Judy McCully yet. The witnesses to the assassination are fast dying off. It seems like yesterday in my mind - i was only 7 at the time, but now i' going on 60! (How did *that* happen?! ;)) I think it's important, not just for family history, but to complete the historic record to identify people in the film and photographic record of that day.

Also, on the off chance that she and her young, coworker, "step-mate", Judy McCully, were friend's outside of work and you have a photo of them together or of Judy separately, could you please share and/or post one?

I hope you like the memorial i made for her. I try to be as close to the historic record as possible using the extant files in the Warren Commission report and the DPD files. Of course, that means I know nothing of her on a more personal basis, and so if there is anything else about her you would like for me to add, i will be glad to include it. I look forward to hearing the back from you soon! Thanks again, Geneva.

Mary Chambless
Did you notice at the bottom of the gravestone it said Mother & Infant. Since these two died on the same day I assumed that this was Mary Alice Chambless with her mother Mary Evelyn Chambless. If you still do not think this is right, please let me know and I will delete the picture on Mary Alice. Blessings...
