We keep the records of burials in Cedar Point Cemetery Brown County Texas. We have burials in Cedar Point Cemetery for the following persons that are also listed in the Caradan Cemetery Find a Grave listing.

Foy Eugene Lawson [obituary states buried Cedar Point] and his wife is listed on tombstone as Earlene Clark (still living as far as we know)
Kenneth Rufus Lawson [military tombstone in Cedar Point]
Samantha Tabitha “Elizabeth” Roberts Lawson [tombstone and death certificate show burial in Cedar Point]
William “Henry” Lawson [tombstone and death certificate show burial in Cedar Point]
Damon Russell Lawson Sr [obituary buried in Cedar Point and a tombstone in Cedar Point]

What is your basis for showing these persons in Caradan Cemetery on Find a Grave?

Thanks for your help in this matter.

You left a note on the memorial regarding identity. Appears from Texas death index it's a female, but note there appear to be some errors/discrepancies between Texas death record and social security record. I couldn't find an actual certificate on familysearch to verify but transcribed records are as follows:

Willie Swaim
United States Social Security Death Index
birth: 28 November 1911
death: July 1986 San Antonio, Bexar, Texas

Willie Franklin Swaim
Gender: Female
Event Date: 29 Jul 1986
County: Bexar
Event Place: Bexar, Texas, United States

Brenda Michael
Ora M. Green
Betty, I am currently photographing Rocky Creek Cemetery in Brown County, Texas for the Pecan Valley Genealogical Society. I see on the Find A Grave memorial that Dewey Green is your uncle. His wife, Ora, has no date of death listed on their double marker. Would you have any information about her date of death and if she is buried beside her husband in Rocky Creek Cemetery? Her memorial number is 6923800. Thank you!

Cemetery Records
Hi Betty,

I received this email yesterday.

"We have no record of burial for Mahulda Merchant at the Salado Historical Cemetery."

By chance, is there some documentation some where that the cemetery does not have on her?

Thanks.

M Merchant
Hello Betty,

I have searched for a gravesite for Mahulda Merchant at the Salado Cemetery. I noted that you added her memorial and wondered if you added from knowledge of her burial or some other document. None of our inventories have ever reflected a gravesite for her. We do have JB Merchant, her husband. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Swains in Greenville Mississippi Cemetery
Betty, I just wanted you to know I added pictures for the stone of Harriet and Samuel Swain in the Greenville Cemetery. It is quite impressive. I don't know how I missed the one for William Marion Swain, but I'll try to get it on another trip.

One more thing about Nancy Swain, wife of Robt Swain:

TOMBSTONE TRANSCRIPTION: Greenville Presbyterian Church, Near Donalds, Abbeville Co., SC

Susan Williams Swain
Re: Lebanon Cem., Commerce, Hunt Co., TX

Hey Betty, Can you make a correction for one of your online memorials for Susan (Wms) Swain. You have her dates as 1807-1811 but the photo shows dates as 1811 - 1880.

William R. Swain is a brother to my Margaret "Peggy" Swain & Mary Swain (I'm directly related through both of them). I thought they were full blood bro & sis. because I have the mothers name as Mary Smith so slightly confused on that one.

Robert Bennett has posted Wm R. & Susan Swains' photo's at Lebanon in case you hadn't noticed. Pretty cool huh?

Thanks so much, Melinda "Mindy" Pennington, mgp383@gmail.com
