Myrtle Sailer King
Hello Ann - thank you for the information on Findagrave.com regarding Myrtle. My husband descends from her mother Nancy Ann and her first husband, Theodore Funk.

Myrtle actually had one other half-sibling from that union, who was my husband's ancestor. He changed his entire name, so it's understandable that he got lost. He was born Francis Marion Funk (1870-1938) but as a young man became Charles Henry Smith. It becomes confusing because his youngest brother also was named Charles H.

In any event, thanks again! What is your connection to Myrtle?

Donna Hunsberger Borop #29349748
Hi Ann,
Yesterday I was at Riverside cemetery in Prophetstown and found headstones for Donna & first husband Adrian Hunsberger. There is no date of death for Donna here. I went to the library and in the master spreadsheet of burials they had she is not listed as being buried here, just found Adrian.

This could mean either the listing needs to be updated in the library, or she is buried in California with her second husband. I find a Lyle Borop who died Jan 1998 in California and Donna Olson Hunsberger Borop died in July 24, 2005 in Orange county California. Could this be them?

You can make it work that they made a double plot in Prophetstown cemetery in 1969 when Adrian died, but then she got remarried, moved to California and was buried out there with second hubby?

Anyways, I have a lovely photo of the double stone with a flower planter in between in Prophetstown with Adrian that I took yesterday, showing no death date for Donna. Let me know if you want it emailed or added to the memorial?

Hope this helps. Can't go any further with the photo request at this time...nothing changed.

Thanks, kathy

Jane Victoria Ferguson Bullers
Hi Ann-
I noticed a beautiful photo that you posted on Jane. I was wondering if you would be willing to forward me a copy of it. My sisters and I have inherited a ton of stuff from my mother's side of the family. We could possibly use this to help identify some photos we are not sure of. The other thing is that the person who put this in is deceased now and John and Jane Bullers are not in this Highland Cemetery they are actually in the Highland cemetery in What Cheer, Iowa. I will be contacting Find A Grave about what to do about this as it is confusing. I have been to their graves many times with my mom and my grandmother who was a Bullers. I belong to William Bullers who was my 2 great grandfather. I will be connecting the family to the What Cheer cemetery entry.

Gertrude Roundtree
Ann,

Check her memorial to see if I entered info you sent to me correctly. Also, did you notice where it said George and Gertrude were baptized in 2003? They died in 1967 and 1974. Is that right?
Just curious.

James Goudie, Jr at Riverside Cemetery
Hello again Ann. I called the courthouse here in Ironwood, Gogebic County, Michigan. James has a notation on his card that his remains were to be shipped to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for cremation in 1943. No other information on his card. I have checked his obits at Newspapers.com and see that he was supposed to be buried at Riverside. I have no explanation unless he was cremated and his ashes returned, although there is no record of an interment. Lynn

Hello Ann. I can't get a picture before spring - snow cover here, but it would help me go quicker if you could call the courthouse here in Gogebic County and get the location of the stone for me. Just the block number is fine. Then I can just go and take a walk and look for the name. There are actually over 20,000 graves at Riverside. Location helps if you can. Thanks, Lynn

Ann, sorry, this is one that dropped thru cracks. Friend transferred to me, and at time my husband had passed away, and I had no time or interest to follow-up. Thanks for your message, and I did do research this a.m., and have corrected her entry. Also saw were you were doing Bacon research, I also have Bacon Family tree on Ancestry (my ex-husband family and do this for my children). Again, thanks, Wilma Doyle Bacon Keely.

Hi Ann,
Regarding William Hilliard, mem #32645623 in Forest Cem., Mahaska County, Iowa, I see the photo of the headstone which is illegible, but the DOB you show (Jan 9, 1861) is most likely his date of enlistment. The Civil War broke out in 1861 and ended in 1865. Maybe this is a dupe of mem #12585497. William Hillard (different spelling).
Please delete yours.
