Stephen Looney
I'm trying to determine which cemetery Stephen is located in. There are two memorials on Findagrave that list him in different locations:
1) Looney, Stephen #47277910, Saint Johns Cemetery, Wapakoneta, Auglaize County, Ohio, USA

2) Looney, Stephen #94368556, Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Auglaize County, Ohio, USA

Can you help me confirm which is correct?

Thanks,
Glenn

I was out near Beard today and stopped and took a close up of the age at the bottom of the stone. I posted it to her Memorial

Barbara Bailey #89278320
Cherri,
Could you delete #89278320? Barbara is not in St. Patrick's in Ransom, IL, but in Mt. Calvary in Seneca, IL. There is already a memorial for her in Seneca #137126751. If you would like I can transfer it to you once 89278320 is deleted.

I stopped by Riverview Cem today. The stone does read 8 & 18. I have worked with the lady who made the original memorial & am sure she took the info from the Wood Co Gen Soc booklet. Hope this answers your ?.

Hi,
Thanks for placing her memorial. I am related to the Bailey folks and so maybe we are cousins! Her father, Andrew is my 3rd great grandfather.

Hi Cheryl
You and I are distant cousins if you trace your Irelan(d) surname back it goes to Diadema Shaklee and back to Peter Shaklee. Diadema Shaklee's brother Peter Shaklee is my great-great-grandfather give or take a great. His daughter Margaret Susan Shaklee is my great-great grandmother. So I guess its three greats. LOL. Welcome to the family. Contact me if you want more information.

RE: Burkes
Our Burk family came from Wales. We have our family tree that goes back to the 1400's on this side of the family.

My Irish side of the family I can only find back to my gg grandfather. Don't know where they came from in Ireland. I do figure they came here because of the famine and that my gg or ggg came to Canada first. After that they kinda migrated into WI.

So probably not related. I have found people on here who are relatives, but very distant. Cool!

Burke name
Hi again - I was just looking at your profile and my last name is Burk but without the e on the end. Although, back in the 1600's there was an e on the end, but it looks like we dropped it a little later on. Cool.

RE: Brands
Hi - when I went to Pine Grove cemetery photo requests I didn't see any Brands, but I was able to go to Jacob and from there I used your links to get to each person. I put all the photos on their memorials for you. Sorry it took awhile, am busy with some sale sites on Facebook and sometimes it gets time consuming. Have a great Memorial Day!

RE: Jacob Brands 1818-1897
Hi Cherri - He is buried in block 23 lot 10. Not sure what space # as office doesn't always have that. Found 2 Davids - One has a H for middle initial and one has an X. So maybe the h stands for Harkner. I did not find a Jane.

Here are the names and dates of who I found. I also have photos for all these.

Maria R.(1822 - 1894); David H. (1859-1918); Linda O. (1857-1922); Esther L. (1896-1977) and David X. (1887-1948). All with last name of Brands. Hope this helps. If you need or make memorials I can put the photos on them.
Lori

Jacob Brands
Hi - I saw that there was a problem reported that the person couldn't find him in the block they were looking in. I stopped at Pine Grove office and they gave me a different block # and I found him. I also found 5 other Brands. I took photos of all. I didn't find any memorials except for Jacob's (#86499427). So if you want the names and dates I have for the other Brands, let me know and I will pass them on and if you make the memorials for them I will put the photos on them. Have a great day!

May Dad's middle name was Foster, his mother's maiden name. I think most of the ones named Adelbert had a nickname!

RE: Eliner Rankin
Hi, Cherri: Since that part of her gravestone is pretty unreadable, I did some digging earlier this morning and found that, according to "Gone But Not Forgotten, Directory of the Deceased..., Atchison, MO: Atchison Co. Historical Soc., 1990, p. 399, she was 66 yr 9 mo 19 da old. I went ahead and posted the information on her memorial. Thanks for writing, as it gave me the opportunity to make the changes.

Oscar Lincoln Soule
Thank you for clarifying Oscar Lincoln Soule's marriage information.

I did find when he married Lourelle T. 'Rella' Hughes.

From what I have found so far, she was daughter of Peter Hughes and Mary Ellen Dickerson.

Her brother, John H. Hughes married Charlotta Chappell in Vigo Co., IN, on Feb 16, 1876; however, after finding them in the 1880 census living in Young America, Edgar, IL, I lost track of them both.

Charlotta is daughter of Philip Chappell and Sarah Ann 'Sally' Pierce, born Jan 23, 1818 in Cooperstown, Otsego, NY, (per a daughter's death info), or maybe in Vigo Co. IN.

I have been working on the Pierce and Fellows lines and Sarah's parents are: Norman William Pierce and very possibly, Sarah 'Sally' Fellows from Mass.
