Thanks Robert for your consideration, but there is no need to add my pictures, since the pictures that are there are just about like mine. Go ahead with deletion. No problem with me. Take care.

That did help, but I've got myself really confused now. Both of the 2 Wininger cemeteries are as you describe between Yuma and Stanley Valley, one off Cowan Gap Tunnel Rd(where I was today) and the other further west. The Cowan Gap one is supposed to have 112 graves. Did you find that many? The other has 6, it says. Thanks.

How long ago were the photos at Wininger taken? I went out today to try to fulfill requests. Once I finally found the site (I think), there was an electrified barbed wire behind the gate and that was the deterrent. Curious to know if I was in the right place. It was on Possum Creek Rd just past the junction with Cowan Gap Tunnel Rd, on the right across from a white farmhouse with a wooden bridge driveway. Right place? do you remember? Thanks.

RE: Sarah Dobbs Cole
Thank you, Robert. I have learned it is hard to get the cemeteries correct if you are not a 'local'. Here in North Carolina, the cemeteries change names over time. I do appreciate you correcting that as our goal is for people to find burial sites. Thank you for the great work you are doing on Find A Grave.

Hi,

Off hand I do not know the location for Alexander and Alice, but I will be going to the library this weekend and will check and see if they are listed in Upon a Lonely Hill. I will get back to you a little later this weekend.

Thank you so much for adding the tombstone picture.
It really helps to get confirming or additional information.
It is because of people like you, who go out of your way to assist us, that we are able to link to our family members.

Correction - Lydia G Bradshaw
Hi, Robert!

I'm helping a cousin by marriage with her side of the family tree and found an error. A picture of the grave marker for Lydia has been posted and although the name is difficult to read (I believe it should be Lydia S not Lydia G but it's hard to tell) the date is quite clear and she died July 28, 1881. Findagrave says July 23, 1861. I show her still with husband George on the 1880 census for district 7, Hawkins, TN where they lived their entire life. So, 23/28 may be debatable but does look like 28 to me, but for sure the year is 1881. Can you please change it for me? THANKS!

Do you know anything about this lady? I have her listed as Mary Roberts, however it could be wrong. I wonder if she was married to a Roberts before she married Tom Pratt. Just wondering...

Where is the Still Cemetery
Daniel Davis is my husband's gr grandfather, Is the Still Cemetery behind Fisher's Creek Church in Hawkins County?

We were told he and his wife are buried there behind the church. We recently tried to find it and there is a large gate behind the church and it is locked.

Thanks,
Mary

GraveMarker
Robert, The gravemarker for Louisa M. Hobbs Sophire, wife of Bill Sophire, looks like the names and dates were drawn on the stone with a piece of chalk. Would you verify and please give a reason? On close inspection of the photo you posted, there does not appear to be even a faint or worn "inscription" of the data being shown on the gravemarker. Please enlighten us further. Cordially, Dave & Lois Ashworth

RE: Renita Simpson correction
Robert,

Thank you for your reply and so soon. The way I was reading info on Renita was she was a grandmother when she died... just the way I read info posted on Renita, she was a beautiful young lady and to died so young is always sad.

I am looking for photos of Earl Carson Horton 1913 - 2000, and wife Marie K Kendrick Horton, 1919 - 1995, stones. I had read somewere they were buried at Ross Campground Methodist Church cem... I also think Marie (Kendrick ) Horton's parents John Flem Kendrick/Kindrick 1897 - 1982, and Hattie Mae Gilliam 1893 - 1969, are also buried in the same cemetery. I would love any photos of these people if it possible, or any Kendrick/Kindrick buried in Ross Campground.

The Hortons and Kendricks are not posted on find a grave.

Again thank you for your reply and the wonderful work you do on find a grave.

Quick Note
Mr Cradic, After making the request for the Fugate link, I got a chance to look at your photo of the Fugate Cemetery and some of the photos of the marker as well. I also went through your virtual cemeteries and thoroughly enjoyed that as well. I left a token on Renita's site. Thanks.
