Francis E. George, 91666881
I have updated the page for Francis, who died at age 18 as the result of a car accident, and is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
I have also sent a copy of the page to the cemetery office for their records.

Thank you for sending the link for his parents.

Alfred is in the space next to Mattie Bryant in the photo. His grave was unmarked.

Mike Surgeon
please disregard my other post
Please disregard the previous message I left. Of course that John Rosa did not serve in the civil war, he was born during the war. I think I have been staring at this screen too long looking at too many John Rosas in the census. Sorry about that.

John Rosa
This John Rosa buried in Indian Creek is my great great grandfather. Many of my ancestors are buried there. I am trying to determine if this is the John Rosa who served in the 97th Illinois Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. That unit was formed in Calhoun Co.and that name is on the company roster.I have my doubts because Army records list John Rosa as 32 years old ( don't know if that is at enlistment or discharge). There is a John Rosa buried at Sunset Cem. in Quincy without birth/death dates. The stone has 97th Ill.Inf on it. Any info would be appreciated.

RE: Hammett photo's
He plans to see a family member and also check at city hall to see if he can come up with some helpful information on this. He is very busy and it may take him a while to complete this.

RE: Byrne correction
No, I'm not related. My husband and I visited the cemetery on a trip to LA a couple of months ago so I took 100 or so photos and am slowly adding them. Came across his son, Walter, so did a little research. Unfortunately I missed Mathew's monument when I was there. I can tell I missed something unique.

Melinda Routh
Wm. Barnes - Itasca TX Cemetary

Thanks for asking if I would take a photo of Mr. Barnes headstone. I don't know when I will be over there and remember to bring my camera at the same time. I would highly recommend you contact by phone Clay Dean Hamilton of Vaughan Funeral Home in Itasca at 254-687-2521. This lady is the cemetery curator and has a full sized MAP of the cemetery. She would be the one to tell you exactly what you want. I am not sure if she works on-line very much. Clay Dean is an elderly lady who has lived in Itasca all her life. You can tell her Melinda Terrell (she knows me) referred you to her for grave information.

Best of luck!

RE: Hammett photo
You are very welcome. Sorry I didn't post it a the same time as his wife. I always do the requested memorials first. It is funny how many people don't seem to care about the other spouse. If there is a spouse, I always do the long shot that let's family know he is there, in case they were unaware. I had gotten busy adding 200 other memorials and didn't get back to him for a few days. I figure a grave marker is better than nothing. Right?

Daniel Davis Memorial Page
I took pictures of the area where they are buried. There is no marker besides the orange 103 marker. I had a few care takers help look for them and we found the marker they checked for a vault and only his wife has one, he was buried in pine box as per the card in the cemetery office. I ope this helps you. the care takers told me if you want to put a marker there to contact the office.

They are here and there, Theodore, Scott & Floyd I don't think have stones, unless the plots were wrong maybe. Sorry.

Thank you so much for taking the time to go and get the photos. I didn't know they would not have headstones but that's ok as I know they are there.

Thank you again

"NOTE: Please e-mail or call (972-238-7111) Restland for plot information BEFORE submitting a photo request." Restland Memorial Park is an extremely large cemetery (over 400 acres)and without the plot location it is impossible to find. I tried to get the information but they will only research the location for a family member. Sorry but anyone trying to help you get a photo of your loved one headstone, needs your help first. Without your help, don't expect a photo, it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.
You can e-mail -
or call - (972-238-7111) Hours are from 9am-6pm CST Monday-Sunday.
Thank you and have a great day.

Betty Unger

You may transfer it if you like, but it's not nessecary. Technically, she is a 1st cousin, 1x removed from my husband. I'm guessing that since Unger was her maiden name that she never married. Her mother and father are also buried there, as well as her grandmother and aunt. The Aunt (Maurine Maloche Stone Wisehart) was my husbands grandmother.
