|Tommy Wood||The Mullins Family|
John, thanks very much for photos of the Mullins plots at Oakwood. John/Martha are my great grandparents. I had intended to get up there to visit the graves myself, but that is about a 550 mile drive from my house and it seemed like a long way to me. I still intend to visit their graves as soon as I can find the time. Thanks again. Tommy Wood

The answer to the age difference of the wife and the son is Eva is the second wife. First wife is a Columbia A. Jones. The 1900 USC has them listed and the two sons are also listed.
Thanks for the heads up.

|Nadia K. Orton||Wheatons (Civil War Veterans) - Evergreen Cemetery|
Hello -- Thanks so much for locating the marker for Harriett Harris Wheaton's mother, Louisa, and pointing out the discrepancy between the date of birth on the gravestone versus the death certificate, a not uncommon occurrence. The Wheatons are part of our family tree, and I'm preparing an article for publication on their story, as well as for the other Civil War veterans I've documented in Evergreen and East End. As always, gravestones help tell the tale...thanks again.

Hi John. Back in 2011 you added a photo to my memorials for Thomas & Bridget Freeman. Thank you so much for doing so. I see that you live a long way from Knox CO, IL. I was born there and have lived within 50 miles all my life. I have visited the cemetery many times and have regular photos from way back before we all went digital. This week I finally took the time to walk the entire cemetery and get a picture of every grave.

Thank you for checking on the Frank Jones grave. We're having a very difficult time locating him. For now, I have a memorial for him in Paulding county Ohio. The family was in , Dinwiddie county, VA in 1900 and by 1910 Celista, spelled incorrectly in the 1900 Federal census, was a widow living with her older son in Paulding county Ohio again. She had two daughters that remained in VA. My thinking is that Frank may have died down there and that it's the reason Celista came back here. The daughters that stayed in Virginia are Ada Mae Jones Spiers and Sarah Jane Jones Reeves. They are both buried in Blandford Cemetery. I believe Frank died around 1908, (I just have a feeling it was in VA), with info in Celista's obituary in 1918 which states Frank died "about 10 years ago". It also stated that one of the daughters lived in Disputanta, VA. Again, thanks for you efforts.

You added a photo to Linden Street Cemetery in Allentown, PA. It is of a large plaque for the soldiers of the American Revolution and War of 1812. May I use this photo and/or edit out their portion to add to their individual memorials? I will show you are the originator of the memorial. Thank you!!

|Kim D. Garrison||RE: Samuel LANDIS #23196718|
Yes, my apologies. A different Mary Wenger is Samuel's mother, but her gravestone memorial is not listed on Find-A-Grave. Please add his father, John L. LANDES #26454390. Also, please add Samuel's birth date of Nov. 6, 1835. Thank you for being so diligent.

|Kim D. Garrison||Samuel LANDIS #23196718|
You declined my suggested edit that Samuel's father is John L. LANDES #26454390. Samuel is listed in the 1850 Census living with his parents at the age of 15 (born abt 1835). His gravestone shows he died 05 Jul 1904 and that he was 68 years old, 7 mos. & 29 dys. 1904 - 68 = 1836-7 mos = abt Nov. 6, 1835. He never married, but he lived with three of his unmarried sisters, Anna, Elizabeth and Mary (twin) Landis, as shown in the 1870 and 1880 census records. His twin, Mary #23196690, has the same birth date of Nov. 6, 1835. All 3 siblings are buried near Samuel in Pike Mennonite Church cemetery. I can forward all 3 census records to you. I would appreciate your connecting Samuel to his father, John L. LANDES #26454390. Thank you.

|SleepingDog||Caroline Harris DeJarnette "Carrie" Staples Daniel|
Thank you for changing the name on this entry. Just so you´ĺl know, in all records that I´ve seen for her, she just shows up as Caroline HARRIS Staples. But I see that DeJarnette is on her tombstone.
I think it´s possible that someone had mixed her up with her mother as far as the name goes----but I have no proof, so I also included the DeJarnette.
Thought you might be interested, but there´s no need for you to change anything else.

John - thanks for letting me know about my dup entry. I have deleted my entry. I so dislike hyphenated names. Thanks again, Larry
