Laura, I am curious as to the location of the St Joe cemetery in Phillips. In his obituary it states he was buried in St Joe cemetery and I was of the impression that it was now the part of the Phillips cemetery. Is it a separate cemetery?
Thanks so much for trying to find his grave. Carman

Thanks so much for the obit. I actually had looked for it but guess I didn't search long enough or I missed it.

I will see what I can do. This will take a while if I am able to get anywhere. Because there are 82 requests they may not want to be very helpful. I have even told them I will search the records myself if they want me, so working on it.

Ok, thanks very much, I will contact the other memorial owners. Can you remove the former note about the daughters once the actual links are added? Thanks!

I see you created the page for subject above. I am with local genealogy group here in McCook trying to help the City of McCook regroup their cemeteries since records were burned in the mid 1930's. In reviewing I find that I have Martha and husband Thomas listed in the Memorial Park Cemetery. I will post pictures when I get to reviewing that larger city cemetery. Could you please move this memorial page to Memorial Park Cemetery, McCook, NE. THANKS! Sherrie Dack, SW NE Genealogy Secretary

Thank you for the page for George Schaller. It was a nice surprise. He was the brother of my direct ancestor.
His obit contains information pertinent to the family migration to America.
Thank you, again.

Laura -- Thanks so much for filling my photo requests for Thomas J. Miller #69356959 and his 2 sisters, Hannah K. and Rachel C. I appreciate your extra efforts in taking and posting close-up and distant photos and transcribing the hard-to-read print. I'm wondering about their parents, Joshua A. and Nancy J. -- you had claimed photo requests on them, and now the requests are "open." They were all supposed to be in same plot - Were you not able to find their names on stone?
Do you happen to know who I could contact re: cemetery records of burials at that cemetery? After extensive research, I believe Thomas J. is buried at Corinth National Cemetery, and since soldiers killed in action were normally buried on or near battlefield, that his parents had gravestone engraved in his memory.

Correction- He frequently went by W.V. Whitney.

Vespasian Ward Whitney is sometimes confused with his father Ward Vespasian Whitney. The Civil War memorial can make it even more confusing as it lists him as Vespasian U. Whitney. Many times you will see his name written V. W. Whitney.

Thank you for all your wonderful work! Such dedication. I have one question. In Quaker records it lists Robert Harlan's second wife as Mary Straub. Is there any chance this is right? Thank you again.
