Ruth Bailey Earsley Headstone
I know it's been a long time since you put the picture up for Ruth Bailey Earsley (Caroline Grove Cemetery, New York), but do you know exactly what the headstone says?
I can make out her name and death date but not much else and it looks like there is more on it.
Wondering if it says anything about her husband William, except for the "wife of William Earsley".
Thanks - Donna

Thank you for this!
Elizabeth Putman Belcher is the daughter of the Rev. Aaron Putnam and Rebekkah Hall, all of Pomfret, CT. The family is often referred to as "of Pomfret" (to differientate from other lines of the Putnam family) but "Pomfret" is not a family name.

RE: Hi Kelly!
Hi, Kelly! She was a hoot, but she was serious about her lineage... and all of our family's. How I miss her! Please do keep in touch with me here; I will be spending more time now. What brought me here was reading an historical novel...and it made me think of names and people my Mom had mentioned. I brought most everything to my brother, Damon, for safekeeping, and to be passed along to his son, Chris, but Chris died in an auto accident almost 4 years ago. Still, his wife, Clare, wishes to pass family history on to her son, Nicholas, even as she is now preparing to marry a wonderful guy who loves both of them. So our family is very happy in this. But I wish I'd listened better, or remembered more. Is there a place online where I might view our family history? Hugs, Donna

Just thought I'd pop in to say, "Hello" to you as I was visiting my Mom's site, which you sponsor.

Colden Woodard
Hi Kelly,

I seen you left a note to change the year of death for Colden Woodard from 1906 to 1907.

From the newspaper clippings that I have found Colden died August 14, 1906 at the Gristmill in Richford.

Thank you.

Eugene Bertrand Goodrich
This was the child of my ggg grandfather Alfred B. Goodrich and his wife Eliza Patch. I have his birth date as 31 July 1844 and his death date as 24 December 1848. That made him a little over four years old when he died on Christmas Eve. There is no birth date on the headstone. Thank you for posting the memorial and the headstone.

Helen Jane Truman
Helen was, indeed, the daughter of Charles Eldredge Truman and Harriet Webster. Lucy Webster was the wife of Mason Webster. Don't know the Sarah Doolittle connection, maybe Lucy's sister? Helen remained single, at the Truman farm in Flemingville, and cared for her parents all her life, then inherited an equal share of the farm when her father died.

Ada Chapman Truman
Hi, Kelly~

Glad to find your submission of my great grandmother, Ada Chapman Truman. She was my grandfather, Harry's Mom. She was a great family "Keeper", so was he, and we have a Truman attic full of pictures, scrapbooks, etc kept by Ada. Here is a picture of her younger self, which I think, really does her proud!

Cheers,
Marcia T

Hi Kelly,

No, I haven't forgotten you!

I've added the dates to my mother's Find-a-Grave home page. And remember, I'll keep adding stuff too as I get information.

God bless, Fr. Amaro

Mannings
Hi Kelly,
Thanks for taking the photos of Ralph Manning & Betsey Manning at the Berkshire Cemetery. Ralph & Betsey were my great great great grandparents. Are their graves close to each other? I love this find-a-grave site. We live in Washington state (where their son, Gurdon, ended up), so i probably won't be visiting New York for a while to take these photos. Thanks again, Kelly,
Mary D.
