Bio

I was bred born and raised in West Texas. I Proudly Served in the United States Army - First Infantry Division - First Engineer Battalion - Bravo Company and I am a Very Proud Viet Nam Veteran.

Genealogy, begins as an interest, becomes a hobby, continues as an avocation and in the last stages, is an incurable disease.

Always a silent hurt,
many a silent tear,
but always a beautiful memory
of one we loved so dear.

God gave us strength to bear it,
and courage to take the blow,
but what it meant to lose you
...no one will ever know

"Grieve not nor speak of me with tears but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you — I love you so — ‘twas Heaven here with you."
— Isla Paschal Richardson.—

WHAT WE ONCE ENJOYED AND
DEEPLY LOVED WE CAN NEVER
LOSE, FOR ALL THAT WE LOVED
DEEPLY BECOMES A PART OF US.
- HELEN KELLER -

"The clock of life is wound but once and no man has the power to tell just when the hands will stop at late or early hour. Now is the only time you own. Live, love, toil with a will. Place no faith in time. For the clock may soon be still."

Living Bouquets

When I quit this mortal shore
And mosey 'round this earth no more,
Do not weep and do not sob;
I may have found a better job.
Don't go and buy a large bouquet
For which you'll find it hard to pay,
Don't mope around and feel all blue;
I may be better off than you.
Don't tell the folks I was a Saint
Or any old thing that I ain't.
If you have jam like that to spread,
Please hand it out before I'm dead.
If you have roses bless your soul,
Just pin one in my buttonhole
While I'm alive and well today;
Don't wait until I'm gone away.

NOT MUCH MORE NEEDS TO BE SAID--

EXCEPT THAT:

LOVE is such a precious thing.
It's fragile, and it's rare.
It damages so easily,
So handle it with care.
It's free to those who seek it.
There's enough for all to share.
The more that LOVE is given out,
The more there is to spare

Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation

THIS MAN SURE HAS A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY!!!

"Heavenly Father",

WE come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance.

WE know Your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good," but that is exactly what we have done.

WE have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

WE have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

WE have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

WE have "killed our unborn" and called it choice.

WE have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

WE have neglected to "discipline our children" and called it building self-esteem.

WE have abused power and called it politics.

WE have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

WE have "polluted the air with profanity" and "pornography and called it "freedom of expression".

WE have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us GOD and know our hearts today, cleanse us from sin and Set us free.

Please Come back and "rule our nation", be number one 1 in our nation.
Amen!!

"And in the end, its not the years in your life
that count. It's the life in your years."
- Abraham Lincoln -

"The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson -

If You Could See Your Ancestors
by - Nellie Randall -

If you could see your ancestors
All standing in a row,
Would you be proud of them or not?
Or don't you really know?

Some strange discoveries are made
In climbing family trees.
And some of them, you know,
Do not particularly please.

If you could see your ancestors
All standing in a row,
There might be some of them perhaps
You shouldn't care to know.

But here's another question
Which requires a different view -
If you could meet your ancestors
Would they be proud of you?

The Measure of a Man

Not "How did he die?"
But "How did he live?"
Not "What did he gain?"
But "What did he give?"
These are the units
to measure the worth
of a man, as a man,
regardless of birth.
Not "What was his station?
But "Had he a heart?"
And "How did he play
his God given part?"
Was he ever ready
with a word of good cheer,
to bring back a smile,
to banish a tear?'
Not "What was his church?"
Nor "What was his creed?"
But, "Had he befriended
those really in need?"
Not "What did the sketch
in the newspaper say?"
But "How many were sorry
when he passed away!"
