William Parker - Memorial 18141425
Hi, if William Franklin Parker is your direct line, I have found some info that may help. There is a second, very brief, death notice in the |North Georgia Citizen| (Dalton, Whitfield, Georgia), 18 July 1895, page 4, stating that "Will Parker" died in Atlanta on Sunday (which would have been the 14th). That article mentions his wife as "Miss Mamie Cummings." Using that info., I found the marriage of W.F. Parker, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mary Hall Cummings, of Maysville, Kentucky. They married 7 June 1892 in Maysville, Mason, Kentucky, at the home of J.T. ?Straite? Both bride and groom were 22 years old, and this was the first marriage for each. W. F. Parker was a traveling salesman.

Your photo in Rock Branch BC cemetery

You have added a photo to the wrong memorial in Rock Branch cemetery. The photo is of the headstone for Ella Richardson. There are two "Ella Richardsons" in this cemetery.

You added the photo to memorial #52711734. It should have been added to memorial #52727147. The dates on the headstone verify this. Please correct, thanks. -Bobbie

Carroll Family
Hi, you created memorials and photos for a family of four in Westview, section 13. Their names are Eva, J. M., Hattie, and Elizabeth Carroll. I'm not quite sure how they are related, although it seems as though Elizabeth is the mother of J. M. If you know about this family, could you link them together?

Thank you!

Lisa Brown
William P. Cosby & Family Photo
I am of no relation to this family and want nothing from this except to give out the information in hopes this makes it back to its family. Anyway,my husband and I recently were at a local antique store in Auburn and found a photo of the William P. Cosby Family in front of a large house, there are 4 young men on the porch, and the following are all in front of a picket fence in front of the house: a middle aged woman in front of the fence in front of the house, a young girl & an older lady sitting in a chair, an older man sitting in a chair and 2 men who appear to be in their 20's standing by him. It was taken in 1895 and is in good condition. The names of the family are written on the back and are as follows:

Mr.& Mrs. W.P. Cosby
Oscar Cosby
B.O. Cosby
Blanche Cosby
Ermine C_____

printed on the front underneath the photo on the left is AMERICAN VIEW 00, in the middle is the date 1895 then on the right is BLACKSBURG, S.C.
I did a search for a couple of the family members on ancestry and it says they lived in Bens Smith, Gwinnett County, GA, Hog Mountain, Gwinnett and there is a census of them in Auburn, Barrow County, GA.

If anyone is interested in this photo you can contact the owner at Frank's Consignment in Auburn, GA, the number is 678-508-9603 and his email is franskconsignment@yahoo. We just met the owner & were talking to him about genealogy and how it was our hobby to find lost photos/bibles/items & help get them back to families & he showed us the photo. I don't know how much the photo is, you'd have to ask Frank. You can also tell him that it was Mark & Lisa Brown who gave you the information. I hope this finds a home !

I am writing a two-volume book on the 8th Indiana. I would like to include photos of the soldiers and their headstones with their biographies. I would like to use some of your photos in the book and will give you credit in the caption for each photo. If you are interested, I can let you know when the book is published. If it is ok to use your photos, could you also give me your first and last name for the captions?

Barb Jones
wrong memorial number entered
Hi, You added Mary Jo Freeman, memorial # 60403824, as a daughter of my great-grandmother, Erzsebet Szabari Flora, memorial # 31277134, but she is not her daughter. Her biological mother is Lottie May Tanner, memorial # 61277134. Notice that there is a difference in the first numbers of each memorial. You should have entered a "6" instead of a "3" when you linked them. Please delete Mary Jo Freeman as my great-grandmother's daughter and put her where she belongs with her biological mother, Lottie May Tanner. My great-grandmother would have been 49 and has never been in Georgia where Mary Jo Tanner was born. Thanks! Barb

Elizabeth Timmerman McManus
Hi Valerie, I had seen your memorials for this family (nicely complete!) but have a question about the given father of John Amos as John LeHugh McManus. Other records indicate Mary B. Holley's husband (and James Amos' father) was John T. McManus, Jr. It could be a simply misreading but I would like to collaborate more with you to see if we can clear it up. Would you mind contacting me at my email address on my home page? Thank you kindly,

Wiley Powell and Maria Adkins Powell
Thank you so much for the photos and information on Wiley Powell and Maria Adkins Powell, my third great grandparents.
I would love to get more information about their 10 children, as there appears to be some online confusion regarding the number of children and their names?
(I got the number of children from the obituary and your info for Maria Adkins Powell.)
Could you please contact me via my findagrave profile?
Thanks again for all your wonderful and helpful work.

RE: Obituaries
I did not "Paste" any obituary, all are typed by hand from the obits published many years ago which are now long past any copyright protection. However it is not against any copyright to use them for personal use, not commercial use.

Many of my obits have been posted by Find A Grave staff members as "Buddy" has died. If it were angst any rule or law, they would not have done so.
