How did you get this information I posted this in 2006 this is my aunt Thelma P. Brooks. Her mother Goldie Dixon Brooks and her father Zach Brooks are also buried there but I don's believe they have a head stone. I would like to get a head stone for them but don't know how to go about it. any information would be helpful.

Thank you for placing my grandparents on this site. I would like to know if you would be willing to tranfer this to myself so that I could add more information as I find it in the family Bible that she left to my father Goly Colemn. Thank you for considering this. It would be an honor to work with my family to place more information about both of my grandparents.

RE: Myrtle Deltour
Thank you for sharing your grandmother's name, I was able to locate her on the website online and Myrtle Deltour (spelled Delcour) is listed next to her. Thank you again! Vicki

Andrew Hall
I have spent years researching my great grandfather, Andrew Hall. Through Federal and State Census Records, Applications for Marriage Licenses, and Deaths Recorded by local physicians, etc. I have proof that Andrew Hall was never in the Civil War. He was, in fact, born in the State of Georgia in 1852. His first wife, Belle Bush Hall is, in facts proven by a death certificate filed in the Town of Gaines, and also found listed in a register of Mt Albion Cemetery buried in Mt. Albion Cemetery in a paupers grave on common ground. She was born in 1857. I am sad to say that my Great Grandfather, Andrew Hall, spent his lifetime committing the crime of Stolen Valor. I would be more than happy to share my years of research with anyone that wishes to contact me and view my many years of research and records. I may be contacted at

Myrtle Deltour
May I ask if you remember where Myrtle Deltour grave was located in St. John's cemetery in Granite City. There are other Deltour's buried there that are unmarked.
Thank you,
Vicki McCauley

Hello Theresa,
When you are at this cemetery in the future, would you snap a photo of her stone please. I ask because I know you have taken several photos here in the past.
Thank you, Diane

Thank you for the transfers

So grateful for the Paul family transfers - part of a meaningful family project.

Very much appreciate all your efforts, already in 2006 for these, and to make this available for family and future generations.

I will see if I can find where the 1989 was posted! It must have been some place believable enough that I never did the math; thanks for your calling my attention to this. Grace

Harriet Downey Kisner
I am interested in proving that Ashford Kisner was a brother of Alpheus, Harriet's husband. He came with Alpheus from WVA, then VA to Indiana. No birth cert., no death cert. Would like a county history entry that includes Ashford in an account of Alpheus coming to IN. Dreamer, huh? If you live near Sullivan County, please ask a family question on my Facebook. Thanks, Grace Petron

I see that her death date matches her stone; however, she died in 1989. Should this be in Bio.? I understand Find A Grave wants exact stone transcriptions even if they are wrong. Her spouse Alpheus is my great grand uncle. Thank you. Grace (Kisner) Petron

RE: Memorial 15587636
Please edit her information:
Name at Birth - Henrietta FISCHER
Date of Birth: 8 May 1852 in Bayern, Germany
She was an infant when her parents came to the U.S. the same year she was born.

She was married twice - the first was to Frederick I. Beach in 1872 Vigo County, Indiana. They had two children together that I know of. Her first husband died in 1878.

She married William M. Hughes on 11 Sep 1879. They had three children together. You can see she is linked to her second husband as she is buried with him and her name (misspelled) is on the headstone.

NOTE: There may be a duplicate memorial for Henrietta with Memorial # 20672349.

So sad, watched a program this evening about the murder of this young wife/mother. Thankful that after all these years the family has closure.

Gratefully appreciated

I really want to express my gratitude from the bottom of my heart dear. For years I couldn't bare the pain of the loss of my babies. Twins Nicholas Emmanuel Spencer and Issiah Nathaniel Spencer. I Also have a baby girl buried here Jasmine Renee Spencer.I wanted to place a stone on all three graves but didn't have the finances. For years it was a burden that I privately held. When I found this I cried. Someone would be so kind to think of my babies enough to create a memorial for them.
