Re: Lorine Agnes Gloor Beutnagel, Memorial # 18966314
Good afternoon Charlie,

How are you doing? I constantly see memorials you have created when I'm researching my family and the family of my wife, and I appreciate your efforts. My wife's mother was Gladys Minnie Gloor DeReese, Memorial #18075456. One of Gladys' sisters, Lorine Agnes Gloor Beutnagel, is still living and doing well.

That's why I'm contacting you this afternoon. The memorial for Lorine seems to indicate that she was born in Lavaca County, Texas. She says that she was born outside of Yorktown, DeWitt County. Her birth certificate says that she was born in Yorktown, but in an "Amendment to Certificate of Birth" filed on August 21, 1970 by her mother, Mrs. Willie Gloor (Alma Schmidt Gloor), it says Lorine was actually born in "Rural, DeWitt County, Texas."

If you are willing to transfer Lorine's memorial to my maintenance, I would be grateful. I would even be more grateful for the transfer of my wife's father, Norman Willie DeReese, Memorial # 18075455.

FYI, I have previously tried to contact you by email, but without success; my emails have always been returned as not deliverable. Your email has been inactive since at least 2015. Do you have a current active email address? Sometimes I like to contact memorial creators privately as opposed to placing them as public messages for all to see.

Thank you for all you do for the Find a Grave site. It is gratefully appreciated.

Eliseo Garcia (Find A Grave Memorial# 11635323)
You have incorrectly assumed that Eliseo Garcia (Find A Grave Memorial# 11635323) was the son of Virginia G Garcia (Find A Grave Memorial# 11635311). Eliseo was Virginia's younger brother NOT her adopted son. Eliseo's parents were Agustin/Augustin Garcia and Julia Reyes (sometimes listed as Julia Mata).

Eliseo was married to Berta Trevino (Find A Grave Memorial# 11635325). Please see his death certificate attached to my family tree at -

Thank you and I hope you will make the correction as indicated above.

Gamblin - McKinney
I've admired your diligence in building out family histories and memorials in South Texas, where Mother grew up - Myrtle A Baker 1909-1998. Alexander grandparents are in Sandia graveyard, where I got to poke around again recently.

I'm submitting edit suggestions from Ancestry Tree TexasBakers. Honoring Mother's birthday, we visited Bakers and friends in Houston's Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, adding photos, connections and memorials for family of Gladys McKinney Foret, Mother's lifelong friend.

I'd like to find a book on South Texas ranchers, like those in the Wade, McNeill and Gallagher cemeteries. ---Mildred Baker Beaman

Callie Peacock
Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hackett, AR

I am looking for memorials of Minerva Ann Gilbert Harris (1842-1908) and her husband Giles Harris (1839-1877).
Minerva was daughter of Edward Gilbert (1808 - 1881) and Alletha Elizabeth Pugh Gilbert (1813-1880).
They are listed as buried in Pleasant Hill on but I cannot find verification.

Thanks for all your work at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery!

Henry & Merline Dahse
RE: Henry J. Dahse, Memorial# 18073730
Merline S. Dahse, Memorial# 18073708
Both in Orange Grove's Sons of Hermann Cemetery.

I sent you a personal e-mail regarding the above two memorials, but not until after I sent it did I find that your e-mail address listed on your profile is no longer active.

Anyway, on a recent visit to South Texas and to the Sons of Hermann Cemetery in Orange Grove on Tuesday, Sept. 29th, I took a photo of the headstone of Henry and Merline Dahse that now shows Henry's date of death. While the two memorials that you created have photos of the headstone before Henry's death, I went ahead and added the new photos. It will be your decision which photos you want to retain. I also added close-up photos showing Henry's and Merline's dates of birth and death.

Thank you for all the work you do in the cemeteries of Jim Wells and San Patricio Counties. My wife has family members buried in both counties, and her parents are buried in the Sons of Hermann Cemetery. My parents are buried in Alice Fraternal Cemetery.

Sarah Stead
Lola Franklin, Find A Grave Memorial# 42140674
Charlie, I tried to email to your email address but it was invalid. Here is my email:

Last year, you didn't want to link Lola to the people I believe are her parents:
WH Belt, Find A Grave Memorial# 109718766 Ella Belt, Find A Grave Memorial# 109718570

because you had a census record from IL showing mother was Esther.

Attached is the info from Lola's SS application, showing Ella to be her mother. Also I found the 1910 census record for her in OK, not IL, as well as the 1920 census record for her in Hood Co, TX.

*** Note that I cannot attached her SS app here in Find A Grave (that was why I tried to email you) but you give me a valid email address, I will email it to you). ***

Really, she is not a direct relative of mine so I guess I don't care much (or I wouldn't have waited a year to get back to you!). I was back then following the Belts thru Texas because my great great grandmother was a Belt and her brother was an ancestor of Lola.

Norman Willie DeReese
Good Afternoon, Charlie,

Re: Norman Willie DeReese, Find-a-Grave Memorial # 18075455.

Mr. DeReese is my father-in-law. If you would be willing to transfer management of his memorial to me, I would be very appreciative. Thank you for all you do for Find-a-Grave in Jim Wells County and the surrounding area.

I tried to contact you via the e-mail address shown on your member information page. It did not work. You might want to check it for accuracy.

Amy Louise Hancock Nesloney in Gonzales City Cemetery
Do you suppose anyone can be contacted to see if this is where her parents Noah and Louisa Hancock of Randolph County, North Carolina are buried? They were on the 1900 census in Gonzales County, Texas. Another brother Levi Hancock went to Callahan County, Texas but no sign of any of Noah's kin there. Seems like Noah and Louisa Hancock found their final rest here. Barbara Tynes Claiborne
