RE: Hensons Cemetery, Kemper County, MS
My sister and I were told that it's a good idea to be cautious when visiting there as it is a bit isolated. I'm not sure if it's the same now but please take care.

The cemetery page has an "info" tab and a "map" tab. Click on the Map tab. You may have to wait a few seconds ... sometimes it's slow to load. You can zoom in and out on the map and that might help you. I know the cemetery is on the west side of the county. I'd love to hear how things go for you and your friend.

Regards ... YM

Hello Carolann. I'm sorry but I don't have driving directions for Henson's Cemetery. I was there once several years ago but I'm from Michigan so I'm not familiar with the area. The map on the cemetery page may be of some help. Maybe you could call the Kemper County Courthouse or Library and they may be able to give you directions. When my sister and I went we were warned that the road can be very muddy and nearly impassable in wet weather so do be careful. I would like to go again someday as I have many family members buried there. Good luck to you and your friend and I hope she finds her family members.

How did you get that picture of her? I believe her brother is my grandfather A.G BIRD,Abraham Guyton Bird....also Alex.He was a confederate solider buried in Illinois.Their brother Marion is in Arkansas. Does this match your records? Because this Mary Bell sort of matches mine.
Any help would be apriciated.
Thank you.

David Smith
Kissiah and Alfred Arthur
Hello, my name is David Smith. I am trying to find out if Keziah/Kissiah Bateman 1808 was married to William Edwards prior to
Alfred Arthur 1812, and if her oldest son John is my GG Grandfather John Edwards born in 1830 in Greene County Indiana
3 years before Kessiah and Alfred are married in 1833.
John's record of death shows mothers name as Kissie Baleman and his father was William Edwards.
The l may be a T and be Bateman. This could explain her having a son John prior to her marriage.
If you have any information that can confirm or invalidate this information it would be most helpful.

Please feel free to contact me,

David Smith
