Dora Eva Blailock Hutchinson
I am Irene Blailock Carlisle's granddaughter and just read the info on her sister Dora Hutchinson. I remember my grandmother say that she had a sister in Jackson but I never met her. I asked my mom about Dora but she said she had not heard about before. My mon is 85 though and does have mild dementia. I do remember Dora's brother Edward. He lived with their sister Maude Blailock Chunn. Are you Dora's granddaughter?

James Driskell
Once again read my profile.

"I do not accept edits or suggestions or asking for transfers without proper documentation provided."

You may be 100% correct but I do not just take anybody's word for anything without some kind of paper trail etc.

Provide documentation and I would change that information or if you can prove he is you maternal or paternal g g g grandfather then I would leave it up to you.

Find A Grave contributor Lisa (Musselwhite - Urban) Hudson has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for James Driskill.

Their suggestion:
James Driskill is actually in the wrong Calaway Cemetery. There is a 2nd cemetery on private land that holds only a few graves. It is located in Bethesda, not Thornton.

RE: Driskill
Hi Lisa,
I don't have any pictures of that cemetery, but hopefully I will be going home to Arkansas this summer and I will make it a point to get some pictures. I believe that Jim Driskill (Sarah's husband) is buried at Lee's Chapel. I'm not sure. I remember hearing that she died in the winter and she thought it was too cold to drive by horse and wagon to Lee's Chapel, which would have been about 15 miles. She asked to be buried in the Calaway Cemetery. Jim and Sarah are my 2-time great grandparents. Their daughter, Harriet married Will Pool, they had a daughter Sallie who married Roe Thomison and they had a son Junior Thomison who was my Daddy.
There is a cousin whose from the Jimmy Sandy Driskill line who just might have a picture. I know he was extensively researching that line. I'll contact him. His name is Glenn Driskill.

RE: Grave Transfer
Lisa, please send me your Find A Grave number for the transfer of your uncle's memorial. I'll be happy to transfer it to you since you are a relative.
I usually check daily for obits to place on a memorial, simply because I love genealogy and I want people to be able to find this very important information. No thanks necessary!

Kay Mullins
Hi Lisa,

I am a descendant of Sarah (also known as Aunt Tack) and Jimmie Driskill. They were my g-g-grandparents. The cemetery that is listed for their burial is incorrect as I have been there several times. You are correct in that it is called Calaway Cemetery, but it is very very small and is located just outside Bethesda, Arkansas in Independence County on Calaway Hill on private property.. There are very few graves and most are only marked with a rock. This needs to be corrected for Claude Driskill, James Driskill, and Sarah Holt Driskill. If you would like information regarding the Driskills of Bethesda, I would be more than happy to share with you. I am also related to the Gills. My g-grandmother was Fanny Gill, daughter of Reubin Gill.
Thanks, Kay

Memorial #37793373 for Sallie Chunn Blailock has two birth years. The 1900 Leake County census shows August 1872 as does her marker.
