Lenora Carey Parents
Hello Laura - Thank you for posting the information for Gideon and Lenora Carey. I believe the info from Lenora's death certificate is in error. Their marriage (8 March 1885) record states that Lenora's parents are Robert and Clarissa Carey and they lived in Bishopville MD. (Robert was the eldest brother of my g-g-gf William Carey - 1840-1916). Gideon's mother's first name was Anna and so far I've failed to find a father's name with a Walker surname. The 1865 marriage record says his father is Joshua Collins which I assume to be his stepfather. You may want to post alternate parent info from the marriage record until we learn more about Anna's family. Thanks, Diane Hanson

Senkbiel Road Cemetery, Wicomico Co., MD
Hello Laura. I hope I am not assuming incorrectly, but it looks like you photographed this cemetery.

If so, it was called Green Hill Episcopal Church Cemetery - it is listed in the book "Graveyards and Gravestones of Wicomico" by John E. Jacob.
This cemetery has been posted by another person, however, only 21 of the graves listed in the book were listed under Green Hill Episcopal.

Can you move your listings over to that cemetery? All will be right with the world! :)

Sincere thanks for taking your time to photograph these old gravestones for all to see!

Gratefully,
Dottie K. # 46831435

P.S. The Truitts listed are my relatives

Hi Laura, my reference for connecting Sara with her parents, Rufus and Ellen Stone, was her sister's obituary, Ellen Ann Stone Pratt, #163762882. Maybe a note on her memorial unless you feel comfortable with linking her to her parents. Thank you....

Thank you for the kind words you left for my beloved eternal companion bride Becky Denise Tomlinson McLendon.

I was comforted by reading them.

RE: Lukes
Yes Laura, I think they may also have a small cemetery there or it might have been replaced by their parking lot and graves moved to Oddfellows? Might you know my friend Sharlana Edgell?

Laura, You can put on her memorial. Amazing the ends we go to, to find theses burial records. It's a lot of analytical thinking or gumshoeing. My fathers cousin who was in the security forces for the Panama Canal told me I missed my calling and should have been a detective. I tell people I don't do Soduko and genealogy is how I keep my mind sharp. For find a grave, I tell co contributors that it's more than a grave stone and the dirt it rests on. Carrie

I couldn't figure out how to post the documentation for an edit, so I'm sending the link by message. http://interactive.ancestry.com/2451/40355_267472-00555/7692756?backurl=http://person.ancestry.com/tree/103654074/person/180046975482/facts/citation/660208394012/edit/record

I have several others if you need more....just wasn't sure what you're looking for. Edward is my great-grandfather.
Also, since my first edit request, I have found the burial location of Edward's mother and want to add that link. Since Find A Grave won't allow me another request until this one is resolved, I'll send it after you approve the edit. Please, allow these links to serve as proof for adding a mother link also. Thank you!

Laura, Nannies husband, Williams father , John E Floyd is found in Neriah Baptist Church Cemetery in South River, Rockbridge Co., Va.. So I would think this is where she is buried.

I would go with the birth certificate spelling. She was named after her grandmother Christann Strauf Hartzel. Who is also buried in the Seaford Cemetery. I sent a add-correction link of Lucinda Rebecca Hartzel Lord to her parents, Sam and Christann Harzel. Christann Lord Floyd is found in the census with her family in the Seaford area, on Ancestry.com. Carrie

Would you stop adding photos to my memorials?
Now I see where you added a photo that adds nothing to my memorial as I already had that angle covered.
Please do others and leave those with photos already alone. Even F.A.G. had spoken about this.

RE: Floyd Edits 120138812
Hello Laura, I gave that same little quote to my mother in law on a frig. magnet. I have added Christiann Lord Floyd's obituary from the Morning News, Wilmington newspaper. I normally do not add directly the photo of the obituary due to copyright laws. I usually type in the obituary into their bio section. But since you need it to further on the corrections. It was from the collection in Newspaper.com. No marriage license for Christiann and Wm Floyd and I have a feeling that they slipped down to Elkton, Md and did the license and marriage there. William was married two times previously. His second marriage to Gladys M Burke resulted in the children that are listed. William's obit lists Christiann as wife also. Christiann was not married before William Floyd. William 's divorce from Gladys Burke was on 4 November 1949 so at what point of time William and Gladys married I am not sure. Hope this helps

Clara Rowe
Thanks for the pictures. I had no idea Clara didn't have a stone. I wondered if Lella Rowe was her child now I now she is. Lella is probably a middle name and I couldn't find anything about her. Birdel is Andrew Rowe's middle name. Clara had at least 12 children only 2 making it to adults.
