Aloha Leilani!! You are more than welcome to use photos I take anywhere at any time for anything you want. No need to even give me credit unless it is something you personally want to do. I like to keep information like that, but at the same time I have always felt that family information and photos and is meant to be shared rather than stored, and quite frankly I don't mind if I never get the credit, as long as it is shared with as many people as possible who are part of the family of the deceased person. 😊 Malama pono, and good luck on your compilation project! I'm sure it will be a beautiful treasure!!!

Guy L. Campbell
Puea Cemetery 1953

My brother was buried in that year and there is no grave marker. There was a plastic name plaque initially, but that has been missing for so long that my mother has forgotten the exact location. I think that there are records of Puea Cemetery burials somewhere. His obituary shows that Rev. Franco Manuel officiated the services. Maybe the burial location records are at the church where that Reverend was from. There were many burials that year and I thought by leaving this message that someone could provide any information about this. We want to place a marker.

Tutu Mary Kawena Pukui
Aloha kakahiaka e Leilani,

I hope this finds you well. Just sent you a plot edit for Tutu Kawenaʻs gravesite. Also noticed that there are 2 other memorial pages listed for her, both by the same member, but posted in 2014... yourʻs was in 2011... you might know about this but he really should delete his pages... will let you take the lead on this one... have a great week!

Lani Melenbacker Turner
Collins, Reinhardt Families
Hello Leilani,
I see that you have entered or maintain many of my relatives records in Find A Grave. Are we related?
Julius & Tamar Gandall Reinhardt-My Great Great Grandparents
John & Harriet Reinhardt Collins-My Great Grandparents
William & Rebecca (Ruth) Collins Holt- My Grandparents
Robert & Kathleen Holt Melenbacker-My Parents.

I have an Ancestry family tree and I have been unable to find information about Tamar Gandall Reinhardts parents.

I hope to hear from you.

Take care,
Lani Melenbacker Turner

David Blewster Knight
John Sheldon, #118507509

Since the birth year (1850) change you are recommending for the subject is different from the year (1852) that appears on the tombstone, I believe it would be more appropriate to add your info to his bio. If you agree, please give me a source and I'll put the info in his bio. The other changes you recommended are fine. Thanks. David.

Glad to help, although I know the last few you have been looking for have not revealed any new information as they were unmarked.

V1ctoria MacKay
Napae m Swinton
Thank you

For years I have known of the Hawaiian connection, but it was so blurry. Since I am an only child, age 67 obviously there is no one left to ask. All that has been known is that we get moles/freckles and all seem to die of strokes.

But now, thanks to you: I have the beginning. The gravestone of Napae Swinton is beautiful and does certainly indicate she was revered. She was our start.

Now, just to find out more!

Thank you so very much for your generous gift. Without it my children, grandchildren and those yet to be born would be left without an important part of their heritage.

Kamanu ʻOhana
Hi Leilani,

Just posted pages for 4 more of your ʻohana and transferred to you... no marker on Janeʻs grave but you can see by the ground that it is definitely a grave site. And the flower looks very deliberately placed. I donʻt have the exact plot location for Charles P Jr, Elsie Leilani, Harvey or Eunice... the cemetery # is 808-233-4400 if you want to get the specifics.

Hope you are having a good summer... it has been hot & humid here... more like September or October! E malama pono...

Jenny McManus
Nolan Family
Thank you for posting this photo request. My grandparents were good friends with the Nolan's and I have many fond memories of them coming to my grandparent's home during hunting season. Mr Nolan would bring his cigarette rolling machine and I would stand by his side watching him roll them. We would also go visit them in Fairbanks between hunting seasons.

Parker & Waipa graves
Aloha hou! Wanted to clean up the photos on my laptop (I store all photos on an external hard drive), so I made pages for the folks I listed in my previous message and transferred them all to you! Also, will send a photo of the row of Parker graves in Laie Cemetery. The old part of the cemetery is across a bridge and is much small than the newer section. I indicated that David, Wilder & Estrella are in the Old Cemetery... all the others are in the newer.

Have some major hula stuff on my plate right now so donʻt know when I will get out again... but I will watch for your requests... e malama pono...

Parker & Waipa graves
Aloha kakahiaka e Leilani!

As you can see, I traveled up to Laie yesterday to fulfill some requests... also photographed some other Parker & Waipa graves... since those were the names of your photo requests Iʻm thinking they are also relatives of yours? I donʻt see pages for any of them... if they are yours let me know and I will post pages, add the pictures and transfer them to you...
They are:
David Nalani Parker
Wilder Parker
Estrella Parker Hottendorf
These 3 are in the old cemetery.
Stephen Parker Waipa
Mary Kalama Parker Waipa
Samson P.N. Parker Sr
Mary Choy Parker
The above 4 are in a row with the 4 Parkers you requested (Arthur Sr, Eva, Arthur Jr & Hazel) and I took a photo of that row of graves.

Look forward to hearing from you...

Ella Georgia Wallace
Hi,Leilani, This is cousin Kathy. Could you add my Grandmother, Ella Georgia Wallace (1884-1941)to Benjamin Wallace's children. Georgia and Dettie should also be added under Benjamin's second wife, Lavinia Marlar Joiner Clements. Georgia, Oliver and Dettie are Lavinia's children, rather than Brunette Martin's. Thank's, hope all is well with the family.
