Find A Grave Memorial# 10055872
Lori,
Please remove the names of the living surviving son, daughter, grandchildren, and sister-in-law from my mother's bio. Her middle name is Meta.
Thank you.

I noticed you left a 30th birthday wish. Don't know if you are related or not but thought I'd tell you I added pictures.
Larry
P.S.
I also noticed you duplicated his memorial on the 3rd of one that was created on the 2nd.

RE: Ortlepp Family
Lori, go to cemetery lookup on this website, leave the first search spot blank, enter Wisconsin and Calumet County and Free German Cemetery comes up on the list, it is also known as Peace Cemetery. Open up the main page, at the top is a little tab that says "map", open that and you're all set. You'll find some other Ortlepps in there also. Donna

RE: Royal Family Ties
No, I haven't. The ships list says that Constantin Ortlepp, Gotthilf's father, was a "Landsmann" aka farmer. I only have sketchy information on his mother Dorothea. But I doubt she was royalty. I've done some dna testing to help with this and other things. 23andme is best, are you interested? It's only $100. and they give more information than the other sites, including ancestry.com, I can send the link.

I just found her Memorial. It was an after thought for me to look on this site.
I am sorry for your loss, I'll never forget my visits with her, she was one of my fondest memories of my visits to Wisconsin. Meeting people like her while doing genealogy is a reward and blessing I never expected when I started doing this. She was closely related to my family as she was my father's first cousin. Her mother was my grandmother's closest sister.
With regret, Donna

RE: Hello
Dear Lori, I am delighted that one of my Ortlepp cousins is doing some family research. Without giving too much away on this public forum, let me just say that your grandmother calls me Roger's twin, your Uncle Roger and I were born on the same day.

How is she? I last visited her a couple of years ago at the nursing home.

Please feel free to contact me through my private email on the site. Have you found my tree on ancestry?

Donna
