Stover Genealogy
Exploring hunches, found the following lineage from the wife of WM Floyd Stover that is backed with evidence of DNA matches through her ancestors: Peter Stout 1715-1802, his son Charles H. 1742-1822, John 1767-1836, George 1791-1876, Mary E. Stout 1829-1889 the wife of William Floyd Stover 1822-1892. Roger Spurgeon

Your great aunt Ella's father Tillman Floyd is a brother to my great grandmother (Rose Meneva Stover Armstrong. I have found through Jefferson Twnshp. Carrol Co. census that their mother and father were: William of Penn. and Mary Stover of Ohio. If my memory serves me Wm was born about 1812. Do you have any information on this side of the family, as I have run into a brick wall.
Thank you

I've deleted my memorial, although I know her name was Inez Elizabeth Williams. Perhaps she didn't use Inez, preferring "Betty" instead. No harm was intended.

RE: George Miller/Alice M. Miller
You picked up on something that myself and one other contributor have been trying to get corrected for some time now. The link to George Miller is incorrect. But the person that set up the link is the one who can delete it. I have now added the link to correct husband Charles (Angus) Miller and made a note about the problem with the other. Hopefully this will help others with the same question in the future. Carol

RE: Janet Anderson
I copy photos from online obituaries by right-clicking on them and saving them to my computer. Then, using the add a photo link on Find A Grave, I browse to the photo file name and add it to the website. After adding it, I can delete the photo from my computer.

RE: Lehman Lamb
Thanks again. I've added that info.

Also, it appears that we both created memorials for Janet Anderson at the Miller Cemetery in Scio.

After I create a Find A Grave memorial, I check for other memorials at that cemetery for that last name to ensure that there is not an existing memorial. I search for the name first, before creating the memorial, but sometimes the search does not find it.

Since I created Janet's memorial before you, could you delete your memorial?

Kathie L. Webb Blair
picture of Glen & Minnie Tierce headstone
Dear Marian,
I'd like to thank you very much for the picture of the headstone of Glen and Minnie Tierce in Albany, Oregon. I know I'm just down the road from Portland, but my knees are pretty bad and I just can't make the trip to Albany right now, so you have done me a very major favor by taking this picture for me. Glen Tierce was my ex-husband's grandfather--the kindest and gentlest man, next to my grandfather, that I have ever met. He and Minnie let my ex-husband stay with them when he was having problems with his parents, which helped him more than anyone knows. Glen's loss was devastating to my ex-husband and to me, as well, as our son was their great grandson and they were always good to him. My poor son was born in 1972, lost his 1st gt.grandfather (my grandfather) in 1975, and then his 2nd gt.grandfather (my ex's grandfather) in 1976. He was little, didn't understand very well, but I have always tried to keep their memories alive for him as they were good people, regardless of the relationship between his father and me.
So, once again, thank you for taking the picture. I will put it on my family tree and remember them fondly again, one more time.
Very sincerely,
Kathie L.Webb Blair
Portland, Oregon
