Maria & Andrew Wright
Ross,
Thank you for your interest in Maria & Andrew's memorials. I have looked and looked for documentation regarding Andrew's exact birth date and Maria's name but so far have come up empty handed. I was hoping Maria's obituary would provide the hoped for results--but alas, it was no help at all. If you have found something I would love to have it if you are willing to share!

RE: Carnahan Family
Hi! Photos posted for Elizabeth and all other family members whose graves I found there last week. To the best of my knowledge, with the work that I did this week, all graves markers at this cemetery are now online. Ace

Michael K. Smith
RE: Rowles Family in Fountain Co.
Hi, Ross---

I think the "Judge Rowles" you found is David Harlan Rowles, who remained in Fountain County until 1844, when he moved on to Iowa. Pretty much everything I have on him (and all the rest of that branch of the Rowles family) is on WeRelate, at http://www.werelate.org/wiki/Person:David_Rowles_%281%29. I've been working on him for around 40 years (and have made numerous research trips to Indiana and Iowa), and I think I have all the major points worked out and documented.

RE: Bryce F Johnston
I agree. It does appear that this Bryce Johnston is not the sopn of John Franklin Johnston and Lillian Prock.

The link has been made from Bryce's memorial. It would be necessary for you to contact the owner of that memorial to make the edit.

Carnahan Gravestone
Cousin Ross,
Thank you so much for fixing the gravestone for Charles and Elizabeth Carnahan (sorry I have not been on findagrave for a while). They look amazing! They are my 4th great grandparents through their son (and family black sheep) John C. Carnahan.

It was brought to my attention that we both have moments for her.I'd like for you to transfer her monument to me so I can link her to other's in my family. If not that's okay. I'll delete mine since it has no information in on and I got the information on her from my great grandma Mayse papers.
Have a great day and ty for the information. good luck with the book.

Georgie Ann Hankins
Everett Johnson # 8959067
Everett Johnson's wife Ann was known as Anna. Her maiden name is HANKINS, not Hawkins. Her parents were Rolin Hankins married Mary Ann Knox. She is one of 14 children. Her brothers and sisters are:
John Hankins, Lavina Hankins, Sarah Hankins, Martha Hankins, Daniel Hankins, Richard H. Hankins, Susannah Hankins, Mary Ann Hankins, Barbara Hankins, Cassandra Hankins, Lucinda Hankins and Angelina Hankins. Many of these lines are buried in Clinton and DeKalb Co Mo. I have who they married if you would like to link them to Ann Hankins m Johnson Everett. Let me know. I am writing a book on the Hankins from Virginia to present generations. Any contacts with the families would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for making the correction of Ann's maiden name so that others can locate their family tree. Georgie Ann Hankins Waddell

RE: Hon> Howard Everett
Thank you Ross for the information. I'll have to get down to Independence this summer. There are several court documents I need to look up they may have.

Have a wonderful week,
Ann

you may be 100% correct
James Everett (1814 - 1898)
Pearl Humphries Franks (1900 - 1996 (5407847)

Pearl was born after after James Everette dies so of course she couldn't have been his wife.

I am soooooooooo sorry. she belongs to a different family.

I have made the corrections.
It's nice when people nicely point out errors so they can be corrected.
Thank you,
Ann

Hon Howard Everette (Averette)
Hon. Howard Everett (Averett) changed the family name to "Everett" in 1820.

Would you happen to have the court documination that shows the legal name changed? I've check with my cousins that researching the Everette side of the family and they say they have never heard of this.

If you don't then we can see if we can find it. Was the name change made in Andrew County, MO? I live in Savannah the county seat so I can easily see if I can find the records if no one has it.

Wonder why it was changed. Intresting....

Thanks,
Ann

We have 2 different parents for him. Do you have any documentation of
Father: James Henry Everett #15407844
Mother: Emily (Carson) Everett #15407847

I can't change the names of the parents with it.

I have:
James Everett (1814 - 1898)
Pearl Humphries Franks (1900 - 1996

One of these is incorrect.
Thanks, Ann
