|Ed and Pam Biesk||incorrect cemetery|
I am currently updating the headstones at the Nauvoo City Cemetery in Nauvoo, Hancock Co, Illinois. The headstone of Susann R Eau Claire Allen (memorial #8203065) is actually in the Nauvoo City Cemetery next to her husband Charles W Allen and daughter Carolyn Sue (Carrie) Allen, not the Old Nauvoo Burial Grounds. The obituary names the Nauvoo City Cemetery also. The two cemeteries are not the same. I realize the photo of the sign was entered by someone else, but I would request that you edit the cemetery name. I have a photo of the headstone ready to upload when the change is made. I am personally acquainted with the family, so if you would like to transfer management of the memorial to me instead, I will be happy to receive it. My Find A Grave number is 46937120.
Thank you so much, Pamela Biesk

"Please review the picture on this memorial. Maybe it should be on a different memorial.
Thanks for your help with this cemetery."
I have contacted the member who added the picture and asked them to remove it. While I did create the memorial, I did not add the photo and can not remove it.
Thanks for all you do at Find-A-Grave,

Thank you for all the work you are doing in Plymouth @ the Bohemian Cemetery. Lucille Estal and Mary Jones - Schreckengost are my great aunts. Nice to see the cemetery finally be fully photographed. Thanks for all that you do to contribute to remember those that have gone before us. ~Christine

I still think it's important for the sake of accuracy. The stone is for a memorial, or memory of a loved one. The family knows he was cremated, but they can honor him there. People complain about find a grave and all the mistakes, so I go back to being accurate in the information we document, even if it seems picky. I was a nurse forever, and I know how important accuracy is, and how some families may care about the documentation.

Yes, that's the one. When you are making a memorial, there's an option for burial OR "other". It includes cremated, or burial unknown, lost at sea etc. then the next page will have a drop down box w/ options: cremated, ashes given to family....

Photo moved. Did you change the name or change/add the cemetery location recently? Seems strange I would have missed this memorial as I took the entire list on Find a Grave and located all graves that had stones and added photos of the markers. I always choose the original memorial and notify the more recent one of their duplication. Hopefully the two can be merged or the second one removed. Thanks for letting me know of the oversight.

|Christina & Rebecca O||Hazel Wilbur death date|
Hi I received your message about Hazel Wilbur's death date on her headstone.
I am correct with the date of 1965. You need to click on the picture to make it bigger, then you can tell it's a 6. Look at the birth year of 1889 and you can tell her death date is 1965, by comparing the 8 & 6. California death index and my family tree have her death in 1965.

|Becki||Elmer Nelson 15644383|
Iowa birth record show that Elmer was born in 1892 not 1893. Birth records are a more primary source than tombstones (which often have errors on them). The 1892 date is not a typo as you mentioned but a more accurate date.
