William Ruben WITCHER: FAG Memorial# 7046831

Dear Mr. Davis:

First, I'd like to thank you for your extensive efforts by conserving micro-history in the more than 7,800 memorials you have entered into Find A Grave.

I'd like to inquire as to whether you are related to MAJ William Witcher (see subject line), a 5GGF of mine for whom you created a memorial on 31Dec 2002? While that relationship falls outside the standard Find A Grave protocol for automatic transfer I'd like to ask if you would transfer his memorial to me.

You may recognize my name from my having contributed the photograph of his headstone. Because of the considerable research I have conducted on MAJ Witcher, his family, and his times I believe I could make unique contributions to the memorial if I were managing it.

Regardless of your decision regarding my request I'd like to offer my collaboration in furthering your research on MAJ Witcher. With thanks in advance, I look forward to your response.

Very respectfully,
George P. Farris

Question
I see where you have a Joseph Sartain in the Troup Cemetery. I am pretty sure that is my great grandmother's brother, but there are no dates listed. I was thinking the person over the cemetery would have records. If you think this is a possibility any thoughts on who to contact? Is it a city cemetery or perhaps a church cemetery? Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Name correction
Under children it should read Floyd Rawlinson Jr. He didn't have a middle name. I am his brother Carel if you need any more info. Thank you and have a good day.

Jonathan James (JJ) Narras
Would you please link this memorial 11150011 to his father, Francis Marion Norris, 159271830? The spelling of the last names is different because Francis was illiterate and signed his name with an X, so his family spelled it the way it was pronounced. I've researched this family very carefully and am quite sure that Francis was JJ's father.

Alternatively, I'd be happy to take over management of JJ's memorial. My number is 47779373.

Thanks!

Mary Martin Eisel
ashland Cemetery
The location of the Ashland Cemetery is wrong. It is listed Gilmer, but is in Ashland, Texas. Ashland no longer has a post office and the closest town is now Diana, Texas 75640. Will you go in and see if you change the location on your memorials. I am sending this massage to all who have memorials listed Ashland Cemetery. I have also sent this message to F.A.G.
Thanks, Mary

Walter Willess
Transfer of Management
Michael;
My name is Walter Willess (#49012260). I was born in Henderson Texas in 1952. Hermie Pauline "Polly" Hanus (Find A Grave Memorial# 10172937)
is my cousin. Polly, her son Edward Gene St.Claire and my family were very close and spent a lot of time together. I have many family photos, etc and would like
to manage her memorial. Would you consider transferring management to me?
I am not able to find a memorial for her son Edward Gene St.Claire who is buried next to her. I will build him a memorial.
Her brother - Roscoe "Blackie" Hawthorne Jr. and her mother - Burtie Lee "Duncan" Hawthorne are both buried at Zion Hill. I manage both memorials as well as other memorials for family members buried at Zion Hill and other cemeteries.
Rgds; Walter Willess

Shirley Hill
Hi,
I am the only child of Shirley Hill born December 6, 1944. It was brought to my attention that you had a record made for her. Will you please transfer it over to me so I can add all the right information. Her Obit even has some errors on it. And that picture isn't one that I want on here.

Thank You for all your hard work.

RE: Pool
I also have newspaper clipping .

Here is what Mary Dennis had to say:

The following is a e-mail response I received from Mary Dennis on a query about Green and his son being shown in the Dallas County Jail in the 1920 Dallas County Census.

Yes, Green and Ike were in jail in Dallas. I have some newspaper articles on what happened, but the family had some different versions. I do beleive they were railroaded.

Green Rasberry was later released from prison when balistics became known about. My husband and I searched and searched the jail and prison records and we found nothing. We was told that when a prisoner is found innocent that all records are removed from their records. They were share croppers and they got in a fued with the owner about his pigs getting in Green’s crop. They had a shoot out with the owner and the owner’s wife was killed, but was later proved not to be Green’s gun. Ike was real young boy and he never went to prison, just the jail in Dallas. In one of the newspaper articles it was sad how they escaped through the night. The Pool lady that was killed was related to a judge and that didn't help.

Do you have any proof that G. I. committed the murder of Ethel Irene Yandle Pool? Was he ever charged with the murder?

Thanks,
