|Channing Jackson||Jack/ McCallie|
Hello Gerald Jack.
I am so happy I found you. Thank you for posting the informationm regarding Jermiah Jack 1689-1785, Jeremiah Jack 1750-1833, Col George Gillespie, and John McCallie. I am a descent of all of these men. I have a question for you. My ancestors are Allen Gillespie Jack (1796-1864) son of Jeremiah Jack and Martha Gillespie Jack. Allen G. Jack was married to Elizabeth White McCallie daughter of John McCallie and Nancy Burney. The problem is according to the information on John Mcallie's memorial is "John McCallie by his first wife Nancy Burney (born in Scotland) had three sons, Alexander, John, and Andrew; and two daughters, Susannah and Catherine. By his second wife, Mary McCullough, they had Thomas, Archibald, Nancy and Elizabeth." So I was wondering if Elizabeth is the daughter of Mary McCullough or Nancy Burney? If it is Mary McCullough then my family history is a bit messed up. I've received all my information from new.family.search.org. If you could help me out in any way I would be very happy.

Yes. Mary didn't have a memorial until this afternoon - neither did several of her children. I've corrected that, and have requested links to Lawrence and Mary from the ones in Oregon.

Or maybe it's Gowdy as her sister Tabitha spells it. Do you know where Naomi is buried? I've linked four of the Roelofson sisters to their father - no clue where their mother is buried - but I can't find Naomi.

Hi Gerald, I have obtained quite a lot of info about our Johnson ancestors these past few months. Which Johnson are you related through. I have found a Robert A Jack (b1822) and Thomas P Jack (b1824). Any these two your family? Good hunting and have a great Sunday. Walt

It is good to hear from you, "Father Bud" (as we knew him) passed on way too early in life. I guess the Good Lord decided Bud's mission was complete.
His brother, Bill, now lives in Meeker, CO. We Are first cousins. Bill's two daughters remain in the LA area with my last contact. My mother and Bud's father are sister and brother.
Father Bud did considerable genealogy research on the McDonell clan. He visited Scotland in the research, unfortunately no one of the family knows where his research is.
Thanks for the contact.

Mary lives in Eugene and Bonnie is widowed and lives in Creswell OR. I attended the Jack Clan reunion at Uncle Ralph's and Silver Falls State Park many times.
What part of the country are you in nowadays?

Jeremiah's son Jeremiah Jack, wife Susannah and his four sons Robert, John, James, Thomas and Allen and daughter Martha migrated to the area now known as Silverton Oregon in 1847. Martha and one of the sons did not make it. I am a direct decendent of Robert. I can provide detailed accurate info if you are interested, including who actually made it and who did not.

Hi Gerald, I'm not related to them that I know of. I come across a lot of other information when I'm researching my relatives so I like to pass along anything I find to people who might have an interest in it.

|Judy J||I would like to get in touch with you, please|
My name is Judy, and I'm descended from Rev Neill Johnson's brother, Archibald. I would really like to get in touch with you or any other researcher in your family who has information about the Johnsons. I am part of a little Johnson research group that is connected by DNA. Naturally I/we would like to share research with you. The DNA is hinting that it is possible we (members of the group) are descendants of the various Johnston/Johnson brothers who came to America together but lost track of each other.
I would love to hear back from you or some other member of your family!
