Carrie Elizabeth Harkey Tysinger #50544699
Hi Jerseyside,

In researching my Harkey family I found that contributor Kindred Whispers (#46986453) had , by accident, created a duplicate memorial #122884756 on 1/6/2014.
Your memorial was created 4/1/2010 & if Kindred Whispers had spelled the last name correctly as Tysinger instead of Pysinger (just human error) it would have triggered that hers is a duplicate.
I sent her an e-mail explaining the Find A Grave rule that the contributor who creates the memorial first gets to keep the memorial in place. I asked her to please delete her memorial.
I'm just making you aware of the situation so you can monitor it if you so desire.
I see your work all the time in my family searches. Thank you for all the great "volunteer" work you do on F-A-G. So many people don't know or some don't care that this is a "volunteer" website. I hope others see this & realize it and say "thank you" more often. Happy & healthy 2017 to you & your family!
Best Regards,
Mary (Contributor #47792069)

Ella Crawford Death Year
I believe there is some confusion with the death year for Ella Crawford.
The Red Bank Register reports the death of Ella Brehaney Crawford in the issue of January 6, 1915. From the article, I calculate the death date as January 3, 1915 .... not 1916.

You're welcome. I recently decided to get more active on Find A Grave by creating and linking memorials for families that I've done genealogy on.

Are you related to the John Golden (b. 1864) that you manage? I'm trying to determine his father John's parents names and was wondering if you might have a clue.

James Boyes
Please remove your photo from #20590027. You put it with the wrong James Boyes. Your photo belongs with the older James Boyce #48159455, but that memorial I did and it already has a photo. I am adding the proper photo to the younger James Boyes (confusing I know!!)

Walter Flynn
I took a photo of a Walter A Flynn at St. Mary's. I'm not sure if it's the one you need the dates are different. I also took a few of other Flynn's in that area. Let me know if you would like to see them.

RE: The Burke and Boney families of Pennsylvania
Hello Christine, No worries.

I am Elizabeth Burke Boney's great grandson, by way of her daughter Lucy Boney and grand son, John Brislin. I just had a headstone installed for Elizabeth (as you could tell the stone looks new, but she passed away in 1960). I recently buried my father in the plot next to her...and so realized my family had not finished that very important task.

Re: Flynns. I keep a family tree on which you are welcome to browse, but I do not have much information on the Flynn family. My uncles were only able to share a few stories.

Re: Dominic Burke - our common ancestor. He has been a little mystery for anyone which whom I have had contact on this side of the family because we have so little concrete information. One mystery, is that the Plymouth paper had a death notice in June 1902, but in the 1900 census, his wife lists as a widow, living with the three younger children... yet it appears Dominic is living in a separate unit (but on the same census page) up the street in Avondale Hill by himself. I have always wondered if the Dominic in the newspaper is our ancestor or someone else because of these discrepancies.

As ever, John

RE: updates added
Hi Christine!
I appreciate that you are cautious!
But I am sure that link is correct.

She married:

1/ Roy Crayton Tysinger # 69322129
(He died in 1927 death certificate says "crushed skull")

2/ Carl Robert Robinson # 54022686

She is buried with her 2nd husband

1930 census shows her listed as a widow with her 5 youngest children
1940 census shows her married to Carl Robinson, with 4 of the 5 children from 1930, one older stepson, 2 new children and her mother, Joan (Mullis) Hancock # 68554442

I am distantly related (Ervin is only a 5th cousin) so don't need the memorial transferred to me. Better to save it for someone more closely related!

RE: How Did You Do That?!
Ancestry used to have that feature where you could find names of famous people related to our grandparents. It was on the one world tree, but I haven't been able to find this feature for months now.

thank you for the compliment! I try to make my photographs meaningful; I figure if I spend the time and effort doing the work, it should be done properly so others can use (or learn from) the information...

RE: How did they search for records of J H McNeil?
The cemetery searched for Joseph McNeil and I supplied the year of death. They told me that the only Joseph McNeil they had died in 1932 and was a baby. If you would like to contact them yourself, the telephone number is 617-327-1010.

Could I request that you add some family links to my great-grandparents' graves?

James Ardrey Crowell 50091258
Frances Belzora Stinson 50091281

If that is acceptable, I will send the links to you.

With Warmest Regards,
