Edward Bainbridge, Alvarado Cemetary Georgetown, CO
Hi Lizzie, I went out in search of your photo request for Edward Bainbridge and was not successful. Then came home and did research and do not think he is to be found there. Here are a couple of links that list who is buried there: and
I read some history telling that graves and headstones were moved in from other sites to Alvarado, and some headstones had just disintegrated. So Edward could very well be there, but no one would know where.

RE : Sarah Purdy
Hi there,

Sorry it's taken so long for a response, but I do actually do have a photo of a Sarah Purdys headstone, but her death year is 1972, not 1960, so I'm not sure if it's the same one. Birth year is 1884. I don't see a memorial on Find A Grave for her, so I will add one later on.

Black Friars, Pontefract
Hello Lizzie,
I noticed you requested photos for Black Friars in Pontefract. I live in Pontefract and that graveyard and church are long gone I'm afraid. I do have a couple of photos of maps showing it's original location if you would be interested. The Valley Gardens are now in it's place, which I also have photos of should they be of any use.

RE: Margaret Martin McGahey
Looks like her husband William was a glass blower. There were several glass blowers in this family. Any chance they lived in Millville NJ, there was a factory there.

I also have several Gorman's in my tree, any idea how Catherine Gorman might be related? Also what was your grandmother's first name & date of birth. Found a Helen R born April 1896. I'm trying to link them all. Thanks

Can you tell me more about your Aunt Peg & how she came to meet her husband & move across the great state of PA. I am related to McGahey's in Phila & would love to be able to connect more family members. Thank you.

James Purdy
Hi Lizzie,

I added a picture of James E Purdys headstone. I also came across another stone with the Purdy name, with a John J. (1909-1951) and a David C. (1884-1965) buried there. Not sure if they are also a relation, but they were buried in fairly close proximity. I did get a picture, but don't see a listing here on Find A Grave, so I'll likely make one later on this evening, but still wanted to let you know!

Just to let you know that he is not buried in Richmond but in Charlottesville, VA. I see you have a photo request for him # 123920245. You might want to delete that and put a request in for him in Charlottesville. His memorial is 130109529. Thought you might like to know.

Are Elizabeth and William Pike family members of yours? It looks like someone already claimed your request, but if they don't fulfill it let me know. I just live around the corner from the cemetery and if it's the people that I think it is, my husband and I are good friends with their son.

I saw your photo request for Natalie Marino. Unfortunately, the photo volunteers aren't able to request the location of any of the graves. Only you can get that information. Just call the Mountain View Cemetery at: 510-658-2588. And be sure to edit your photo request with the location. Otherwise, you'll be waiting forever for that photo.

This couple is buried in Delaware Cemetery. They MAY be my 4th great-grandparents. Does anyone have any information regarding these people?
Thank you.

Locke transfer
Lizzie, when the memorial was transferred to me, the previous manager forwarded your previous request where you stated he was your "2nd Great Grandfather", not "great grandfather" as you claimed in your most recent request. I will also ask the admins to add a note to the memorial that it is not eligible for transfer.

Maggie Taylor
No headstone is seen for Maggie, Frederickk, or Tenie Taylor, but you may wish to contact the cemetery to see if a stone was actually placed, or if it is hidden from view, as sometimes happens especially with flush stones.Telephone: 216-421-2665, Fax: 216-421-2415
See caption of photo.

I'm sorry I can not link his memorial. You need to ask the contributor that created that memorial.
I can only link spouse and parents not children

RE: Mary Louney Townley Chase at Ancient Cemetery
Hi Liz; It's possible that Town of Yarmouth records or historical reference materials might indicate that the burial is in fact in this cemetery. I would guess that the profile manager got the information from a source such as that. Existence of a tombstone is another matter. Its quite common to have a known burial site with no tombstone in place to mark it. After all, this particular death was quite a long time ago...maybe the stone fell apart years ago and maybe there never ever was one. The work I referenced was a transcription undertaken in 1906 on tombstones in the cemetery which dated 1851 or earlier. The 29 CHASE members found in Ancient Cemetery on FindAGrave all died after 1851 and were therefore not included in that work. There are no other cemeteries by that name in this particular town, so I would guess that the burial was in fact probably in Yarmouth Ancient Cemetery, but no tombstone exists. Hope this helps.

I was reviewing info on Mem 25161686 for Hugh Buckingham Locke and noticed that the link for Nellie Locke (1883-1890) goes to Mem 25161669. However, the DOB and DOD do not match to this Nellie Locke (1851-1913). Thought you may want to know.

RE: Mayflower
Wow, that's really interesting, so we are very distant cousins. My family married into the Blish family in 1717. Small world...

I will definitely keep looking for your family. I'm sidelined right now from a groin pull, I think I got from stepping in a hole at a graveyard...

I didn't think it would be hazardous, but it IS fun.

Also, I'm working on Old St. Mary's, which is a couple of miles from New. There are a lot of stone there that have not been photographed or entered, so that's an on going project. If I see any McGahey's there, I'll let you know.

RE: McGahey
No, I didn't see others, but I could check again. New St Mary's is very uniform in their layout, so if it's a family plot, they would probably be on the same stone. I'll make sure there weren't more McGahey's close by.
I noticed your are decended from the Mayflower, so am I. Maybe that's what gives us the interest in geneology. I'm decended from the Fullers.
