RE: John Loy
No problem. I also just posted a photo for a George Loy who was in the same row. Unfortunately, you can't determine the death year nor how old he was at the time of death. When you see the picture, you'll know what I'm talking about. Continued success with your trees.

Sarah Reynolds Omans
Hello Debbie!
In your family research, did you happen upon any documentation of the children of Sarah and Peter Omans? I am working on Phebe Omans, a daughter. The migration paths and burial in same cemetery are good clues, but not proof. Some documentation provides that she is sister to James and Othaniel and sister-in-law to Wm Sears. One census lists a wife Sarah for Wm Sears. Her death certificate shows her mother was a Reynolds. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Debbie, Thank you for your response. Below is the link to the grave and cemetery I refer to. I found your name under the photo upload. Was hoping you may have some information.

Thank you for taking a second look,

John O'Connell
Good morning Debbie,

I am inquiring about any information you may have on John O'Connell. He is my great great grandfather. I have my grandmothers records and knew he was buried at St. Mary's. I am looking however for confirmation that his wife Ann is buried with him. Also any information you may have regarding either of their parents or siblings. Our family history stops here.

Any help or information is greatly appreciated. May God continue to bless your work.

Ok, I have some that tie in, in Ohio. And other areas up north. Thanks for the reply. If you can send me a personal email and maybe we can exchange info and trees.

I have uploaded a photo to his memorial. It was done using the transcription tool so it did not send you a message letting you know that this was done.

RE: Gunckels

Have you or your cousin tried contacting someone at the Germantown Historical Society? I wonder if someone there would know. This is their email address...

I don't know if they charge anything or not though, but it might be worth a try if you haven't asked them yet. I'll still try to look when I go to the library again to see what I can find.

Hope you have good news soon!

RE: Gunckels
Hi Debbie,

I will see what I can find out. I am having a little bit of a back issue right now, but once I am doing better, I will try to get down to the library to see what I can find out for you.

I did read online about a John Jr. that drowned in a canal back in 1839. I don't have access to any papers that go back that far. I keep thinking it mentioned about a Will in the Butler County records. So far that is the only one I have found that died that way. If I find out any more, I will let you know.

Have a great week,

RE: Gunckels
May I ask what where the "brick wall" in the family line is? Are you from this area? I think there is a book or two at the Germantown library about the Gunckel family. I can see if I can find the answer in them for you, if you like.

I hope you find what you are searching for.

RE: John and Mary Long Gunckel
You are welcome, Debbie. Glad I was able to help. I am surprised at how many of the Gunckel memorials for those interred at the Germantown Cemetery do not have a gravestone photo. Gunckel ancestors led to the settlement of Germantown.

Let me know if I can be of further help.

On the photo you attached to Find A Grave Memorial# 10801394 you give the wrong death date in the caption. As worn as the stone is, I can clearly see from the photo that the death date is "Le dix Juin" or June 10.

RE: Annie Neargarder

Happy to find it.

It took two trips to the cemetery to find her stone. Her name was on the opposite side of the others in the row.
