Oscar G. Buttolph
Dear Mr. Fuhr, When you took the picture of Oscar's stone, did you happen to see a stone for his wife, Martha Rose Demont? She died in May 1929 in Chicago but I am wondering if she might be buried next to her husband. I am interested in these people because I am writing a book on the 110th Regiment, of which, as you know, Oscar was a member. Many thanks for any information you may be able to provide. Best wishes, Natalie J. Woodall, PhD

John J. Long
Lieut Cyrenius Woods Memorial #26754555
Dear Ernie,

Would you consider a transfer of Woods' memorial to me because he is my great great grandfather?

I have already submitted a couple of suggested changes for his memorial, but I'm now wanting to do more. My project will link more family members and add biographies and managing his memorial will allow me greater ease to accomplish these goals.

I appreciate your consideration. Thank you.

RE: June Mason's headstone
No problem taking the picture. The cemetery is in Henry County, Illinois, about 4-5 miles north of Osco. It is in the country. I guess it is called Morristown Cemetery, but I couldn't find the name anywhere in the cemetery. Across the road, there are about 3 or 4 houses. I have been by it several times, but I have never heard of Morristown. I added the other Mason tombstone pictures also. Thanks, Roger.

RE: Charles Hevrin
Thank you so much - he is the brother of my maternal grandfather. I will let you know if I find more information about him or his wife. Do you remember where his grave is located in Greenwood? Again, thanks!

Gertrude Barbour #43440195
Hello Ernie,

Would you consider transferring Gertrude to me? She is my husband's great-great aunt, and I have more biographical information on her I would like to include. Her husband is William Barbour, and their two children are Blakeley and Mary Rebecca Barbour.

Many thanks,

Baxter B. Fite III
William Ashworth, Co. C, 86th Illinois
Dear Mr. Fuhr, I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your giving of your time in this manner. Thanks for giving of your time to search out and get those great pictures of the tombstone of Corporal William Ashworth, who was a member of Co. C of the 86th Illinois during the Civil War and whose earthly remains were laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery in Rockford, Illinois. This another of the many stones that I thought I would never even see a picture of. Now Thanks to another wonderful Find A Grave member, I have lived long enough to see a picture of it and it will be there for all to see in the future. Thanks for all that you have done and for all that you will yet do for Find A Grave! It is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Sincerely, Baxter

Gertrude (McKey) Barbour
Dear Ernie,

Could you please add Gertrude's father to her site? He is:

Edward McKey (57021598)

Gertrude's mother Mary Ann Tole died in Canada shortly after Gertrude's birth, and I have not been able to find any information on her burial site.

However, I have been researching the McKey family for many years, and would appreciate it if you could link Gertrude to the rest of her family.

Many thanks!
Heidi Addison

Thank you for the pictures of Robt Crockett & his wife, Ester.
I am distantly related to them.
Your grandmother was amazing, a loud round of applause for her monumental effort to get genealogical information before the internet!
Good for her & a wonderful gift for her descendants.
Thanks again.
God Bless to you & your family.
