The Church of St John the Baptist Church, Bristol.
I am concerned that you may have been unintentionally misinformed by a previous contributor. This church (although no longer in consecrated use) does indeed exist as does its graveyard (in St John's Street). It's now under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust & a Grade 1 listed building (English Heritage).

Since it was built into the city wall during 14th century, the church has been traditionally known locally as St John's on the Wall. This may be where the confusion lies.

If your request is still active, I will claim the photo request as soon as I have some free time.

Regards

Deborah

John,
I took a clearer picture of James and Florence's headstone and posted it. You had one already there. You can delete mine or keep it.

John DEWEES
John, since you are a relative of JOHN DEWEES, would you like to take over his memorial? You and your family know much more about him than non-Dewees. I just got it transferred about 2 wks ago, from Bev, who is no longer with us. John's memorial is: 17330292. Take a look and let me know via the EDIT button on his memorial. Thanks.

RE: John Henry Oyler
I have this information on the memorial. Are you related to this line? My husband is the grandson of Harvey Bennett Oyler (who was the son of John Henry).

RE: Alfred Dewees
I'm sorry. I don't keep the photos after I upload them. You could save them from the Find A Grave memorial page though.

By the way, it looks like you have two records for Fleuteau Dewees.

Hello John.
It's good to meet a long lost cousin from a way back. In regards to Sarah and Enoch I guess one must have patience when it comes to transfers.

Thank you, John
I have been so thankful you have created this site. I have gotten so many pictures of my Hunter family. I have followed you for many years now, and can hardly wait to see the military site you started working on. I am now in the process of becoming a member of the DAR and would like to go through Robert Hunter, Sr., but I cannot find any death documents on him. Therefore, I will have to go through my Lugar side (Adam Lugar).

This is wonderful job you have and are doing, Deacon.

RE: Alfred Dewees
I took photos of the headstones for four other DeWeeses who were close to Alfred. You can see them under the new cemetery name which is New Marshfield Cemetery - http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GSln=dewees&GSiman=1&GScid=744942&GRid=98083570&CRid=744942&

If you would like for me to transfer any of these to you, just let me know. I think that they're Alfred's wife and sons.

Uriah Hillary Hatcher
I am working on getting all the interments at this cemetery up-to-date but I do not see this person, Uriah Hillary Hatcher, there. I have taken pictures of all the head stones and markers and I do not see his name. Did you perhaps put him in the wrong Cemetery?

Hello John, Thanks for that information. Any idea when the letters were written as it might narrow down the time of migration. I wonder if Mississippi relates to the state or the river
