Hi Brenda,

I was born & raised in Milton, Sussex County, Delaware. Aaron was my 2nd cousin 2x removed. Just curious as to your relationship to him?

thomas fincher gamblin children
In the entry for Thomas Fincher Gamblin, he has several children listed by Caroline Sophrina Minshew. The last child, Beulah Gamblin had two younger sisters, Luna and Ethel, not listed. Beulah moved to Long Beach, Ms, in about 1920, taking Luna and Ethel with her. Luna is buried in the Long Beach Cemetery (headstone photo online) with Beulah, while Ethel is buried in Gulfport.

Believe you have a typo.
If you look closely the date on the headstone is 1903 date of birth. That also matches the census birth record.

RE: Thomas Vernon Gamblin
Thanks, I just looked again and I had my Thomas's in my mind confused. I thought Thomas Jefferson was married to a different lady, however when I went back this morning and looked again I saw I was confusing the Thomas Jefferson's in my tree and looking at the wrong one.
Sorry to have bothered you. My eyes were crossing.

I meant isn't Thomas Vernon the son of Thomas Jefferson and Effie Salter?

the other son James Elra Gamblin married Grace H.

sorry I got confused. Let me know if I'm confused.

Thomas Vernon Gamblin
I do believe you may have accidently entered the wrong father on Thomas # 43464046.
Is his parents not James Elra Gamblin and Grace H. Gamblin?

M.W. Adams
John Quincy Adams
J.Q. Adams is my g-g-great grandfather.
Thanks so much....I remember visiting this site with my father and brother, in the early 90's. I recently have begun researching my families line and it led me here to the first Adams in Texas.

Old Nauvoo Burial Grounds
I noticed that you photo of the grieving family statue at the Old Nauvoo Burial Grounds shows much more detail than a photo I have of the statue. Would you allow me to use your photo in my Find-A-Grave memorial for one of my relatives buried in the Old Nauvoo Burial Grounds?

Dear Brenda, Thank you so much for taking the picture of Ada Miller's tombstone. Ada is my great great grandmother. You have made my family and myself very happy. Have a nice day.

Joan M. Smith
Mary Mikesell
I found a photo you posted from the Old Nauvoo Burial Grounds. Do you live close to that cemetery? If you are there again would you be so kind and check to see if there is a marker of some kind for a Mary Mikesell that died in 1842? Or a plaque with names of those buried there. I would appreciate it very much. Joan in Utah

RE: Mountain cemetery
Hi Brenda, last time I was at the Cemetery was in the late fall last year. At that time it had been all cleared off. I'm sorry it has become so grown over again. At one time there was a woman and her brother, I believe, taking care of it. I guess we are all getting so much older and it's harder to get it done. I'm 70+ also and to my knowledge both those folks were too.

Sincerely, D Pierson
