Alfred Henson
Hi! I saw that you had a photo request for Alfred Henson in Pleasant Valley Cemetery (Bollinger County MO). I was looking for his stone for my own records (he's my 3rd Great Grandfather), and I searched the entire cemetery and did not see his name. Unfortunately, his grave is either now unmarked or it is one of the many stones that are broken or too worn to read. There are a few other Hensons there though.

RE: Daniel Adair
I'm researching the Old Stone Church/New Providence Cemetery, hoping to get it on the Nat'l Register of Historic Places (done through our local historical society). I have featured from the Civil War Vets back to the Rev War. That little cemetery has quite a 'collection'--Confederate Soldier, daughter of a Rev War soldier, Indian Wars, Mexican War, War of 1812, Black Hawk War and Civil War. Of course, there are all wars to the present also.

I just think the Vets should have their earned due.

Norton's in Harwood Lake Cemetery

I found the marker for Loren and Urania Norton but it is broken. I took a few photos and have posted them. Urania's name isn't legible. I will try to get back there again and clean off the marker some to make it more legible. Let me know if you'd like me to delete the posted photos in the mean time. That way you could post another photo request for them and someone else may get the photos more quickly.

RE: Pliska's in mt olivet
you're welcome. I figured you could request photos for the other Pliska's, since they are all in the same plot.

George Beier US NAVY
Greetings Debbie, I wish to include you image of the marker for GEORGE BEIER on the Ancestry website in his honor. George was with my cousin and 15 other Sailors aboard a Navy transport flight in 1944. I plan to help host a 70th anniversary memorial for all 17 families who lost a loved one aboard that flight. I will note the photo credit and want to thank you for helping me gather these images from across the country. With best regards, Mark.

Deborah LeBorgne
RE: W. H. Lanoix
I'm sorry, I'm looking for Fred Lanoix. His father was W.H.
Fred was born in Québec, Canada in 1867 & died around 1912. He has one daughter Virginia but she went under the last name of Watson. Fred lived & died in Quincy, Illinois. Both W.H. & Fred Lanoix were doctors in Quincy. W.H. married Sarah Seahorn. Who's father was well known in the area. I'm looking for the Lanoix's grave sites.
Thank you for responding,

RE: Dora Jane Denson
Sorry, I can't find this person among my memorials. Are you talking about Dora Huffman Nichols?

Send me her memorial number and then maybe I'll find her.

Vernon Flowers
Hello Debbie,
I found the family plot with Vernon Sr. but could not find a marker for Vernon Jr.

Adam Pliska

I am going to delete my memorial to Adam Pliska. I can tell you he died from beriberi and colitis just before the end of WWII at Taihoku POW Camp on Taiwan. He was born 12 Sept. 1904 in Michigan.

After the war, on April 30, 1949, his remains were buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit.

Deborah LeBorgne
Hi Debbie,
My name is Deborah LeBorgne. My great great grandfather's name was W.H. Lanoix, he was a doctor in Quincy and after he died a man named James M. Martin took over his identity and was arrested for the botched surgery of a young newlywed woman. Have you seen any articles regarding this?
Thank you,

Karen Baughman
RE: Katherine B. Logan
Thank you so much. That solves a brick wall I had for a while. I was looking for Katherine in California where she had been living. The 1940 census confirmed that she had moved back to Illinois as was living with Cora.

Do you know of anyone who can search for the obituaries for Cora and Katherine? Cora died on 23 Jan 1951 and Katherine on 16 Nov 1951.

Thanks again for your help with my research!

RE: Cora Binkert
Hi Debbie,

Thanks for the quick reply. Do your resources list anything for Cora's sister - Katherine (Baughman) Logan? She died in 1951. No hurry on the picture since he is not a direct line relative.

Thanks again.

RE: Flowers, Vernon JR.
I moved the photo to the Vernon Sr's memorial. Sorry for the mix up.

I didn't see another Vernon Flowers in the family plot and Vernon Jr isn't in the Laurens County Cemetery survey. I'm emailing you a page from the index that shows the Flowers family members that were included in the survey.

The cemetery was surveyed in 1994. It's possible Vernon Jr's marker was placed there after the survey but I didn't see it.

RE: Request for Ray Taylor
you are welcome to use the photo.
I just looked at the request list and did not realize until after I had added the photo that this is a duplicate memorial. You might want to use the edit tab to request that the memorials be merged or something?? Or one of them should be deleted??? Anyway, if I need to remove the photo before that can happen, let me know -
:-) A
