Carolyn Lloyd
Memorial # 98680969 Loretta Goldammer Robert
I saw that you posted a photo of Louise Goldammer on the above memorial. Loretta was my Aunt and I visited with her several times over the years. I assume that the young child in the photo is Loretta. Is there any writing on the back of photo? Also would you give me permission to use the photo in my family history and pass it along to Loretta's three sons? Loretta was married to my father's brother.
Thank you for adding that photo. I am now working on Loretta's parents.

Can you please send me an email address so that I can send you a bio for Phoebe Campbell Burris that has been written by her Granddaughter? Would you prefer that she join Find A Grave and ask for a transfer of her family members? JEH # 485-31678

Mem 174777293 George White
I am working on a historical project looking for the veterans who served in the Civil War and are related to Calhoun County, IL. The above soldier I believe is on of my missing in action men. Although he was from Illinois he signed up with a Missouri regiment as St. Louis was just across the Mississippi from Calhoun. I am hoping that somewhere in your records for this memorial you have his Regimental Unit as the 6th MO INF. If you have a photograph of the headstone that would be excellent.
Thank you in advance for your efforts,

L. Moses

I see you have a picture of his headstone on the site you created in Nov. However, I have a site for him that I created in March which has links to it 143311949. Would you be kind enough to add your photo to my site and delete yours or combine the two sites. I do not know how to combine sites so any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

William Mills
Hattie Buck Furman
Please consider removing the photo from memorial # 20411197. She wasn't married to Luke Short, the famous gunfighter. Hetty J. Buck (born in New York) married James M. Furman in 1884, and they had children together for the next twenty years. Hattie Beatrice Buck (born in ILL) married Luke Short in 1887. Thank You, William

Question about Kate Whitcomb
Hi Joan,

I've got an April 1886 picture of the E. W. Whitcomb residence located on 18th Street which is stamped C. D. Kirkland Photo from Cheyenne WY . This photo was in my grandparent's family photographs so I looked up EW Whitcomb and the only one in WY is Find A Grave #20778298 whose wife is Kate Whitcomb #20778325. I noticed you added portrait and family photos for both memorials.

Under the assumption that by having these photos you might know more about Kate's family, I'm wondering if you know if she has any Specht, Roberts, Shelton, Waltz, Stevens, Stark, Sears, or Speak relatives? Just trying to find a link or reason why my ancestors kept this photo.

Thanks for your time!

Eric in Memphis
Charles Westmoreland (155474072)

A duplicate (180364622) has been created recently of your memorial to Charles Westmoreland. I appears to have been created by a relative and includes links to other family members. It is also the only memorial created by this other person.

I leave it to you to decide whether to merge, delete, or contact the other manager to eliminate this duplication.

Joan - I would very much like to talk to you I believe we are related.
My Grandmother was Gladys Lalone (Vandine) Spencer her birth-mother was Maude Forsythe but she was given up for adoption in 1905. Her birth name was Gladys Eileen Forsythe.

Patty Falkenstein
David allen bexar county
Hi Joan! I stumbled across your entry for the man I think was my great grandfather. I am wondering if you have any contacts in bexar county that I could email to see if he was married to Elisabeth and had a daughter named Beulah. Ancestry records are minimal...I know my grandmother Beulah was apparently orphaned, and at age 17 (1909ish) went to live in a general store. Is 'exhaustion' a euphemism for a fever? Or some other fatal disease? Did being buried in a city cemetery mean he was a pauper? Or do you K of if there was some sort of epidemic there in 1904... thanks for any help toucan give.

Joan, Les Cox takin care of that. The other contributors made the wrong link. As for Duffie Farris I think he passed away in 1992/3. He is linked to his sister. Thanks for all you do on Find A Grave Duffie & Kathy

Great Profile
Joan, I saw you put a photo on one of my memorials (thank you), and I clicked on your profile page. Your profile says it all and I agree with you 100%. I don't know how many times I have thought about walking away from Find A Grave because of some of the rude members. So thank you for the work you do and also a well written profile.

Betty Arnold Henderson
Memorial #35675132
My family history research led me to this memorial. I noticed an error that I am quite sure you will want to correct. I suspect that it was made by someone using the "edit" method rather than anything you did.

After the bio, in the listing of Les Cox's children, you will notice the name Martha Estelle Cox. She was not his daughter; she was his second wife. Her memorial is #121063722 and her bio provides the names of her parents and makes it clear that she was, at the time of Les' death, his widow.

In an effort not to bother you with this, I tried to remedy this but the only thing I could do was to add her memorial number as a spouse on his. Removing her as a child of his is something probably only you can do.

I hope this is helpful to you in your efforts to provide quality memorials to This is an important undertaking and your efforts are very much appreciated.

David Woods
Hello Joan, I am a Farris descendant and just discovered the memorial of Estelle Farris O'Banion. Is Estelle's brother Duffie Len Farris the same person that contributed memorials as Duffie and Kathy?

Very Respectfully,
David M. Woods Jr.

PFC George Yarish
Hello Joan,

I received the email today that my suggested edit was declined because it's in the wrong data field. PFC is short for Private First Class, which is the prefix field under name via Suggest and Edit.

Im' not sure why it was declined, but I've resubmitted it. Feel free to reply directly if there's another reason you prefer not to accept.

Thank you,

We have walked the cemetery and searched through the records, and cannot find the grave. The obit in the SA Light says he should be here, but we cannot locate his final resting place. Any picture of the stone or additional information will be appreciated.
