Matthew Cummins
I noticed you had the obituary and photo of Matthew Cummins, my great granfather's brother. Would you be able to scan these for me and send them in an email? I am trying to piece together the Cummins family, and have very few clues!

Thanks!

Sarah Lewis in Redford Cemetery
Jack-
I see you picked this memorial up from the MIA Laura, and wonder if you are related in some way. She is related to me and connected to my mother's family in a number of ways, and I have traced her to your memorial. I know her parents and quite a bit about her life. Her parents were Sarah Sturman and John Currin. She married a George Westlake and had two children with him, and apparently after he died, married a Mr. Lewis, who I don't know anything about.

Hello,

I have reason to believe that the above noted grave that you have kindly added last Aug, belongs to my great uncle (he was my grandfather's brother) born in Canada, but spent the majority of his life in the US. I would appreciate having the honor of managing this grave along several others that I have. Please let me know, thanks.

I saw your posting on this. I've just discovered 3 Hirschlieb's committed suicide all by hanging. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=11043725

Lena's obit doesn't state suicide but her death certificate does. (I don't a copy of that one.)

just checked, and YES the article is GONE! Listing for her is still there, but no article!

The article stated something of a visit and went on...
kind of like one of those things they would post in newspapers long time ago...mary visited brother and had a grand visit, before ...

This is the memorial.

Also, strangely, there was an article attached to her and now I do not see this any longer!

Thank you for your reply, this is still a mystery and I cannot find other relatives researching her.

Josephine Werthman
born in 1871, though various dates show up via census information and what not/and/or are about dates of 1871, 1872, 1873, along with death dates either in the 1950's or this date of 1963 in Michigan.

Her info that I have summarized currently/with above information in mind, and also other information I can submit if helpful...

Josephine D Worthington
Birth 1871 in Posen, Germany
Death 1963 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, USA

Josephine did marry a Carl Louis Werthmann/Werthman/date of marriage unknown, had 3 children, and lived primarily in Milwaukee, Wisconsin after coming to the United States from Posen Germany at age 16 years. Not sure of other family members, and cannot even locate her spouse Carl Louis Werthman who died in 1930 in Wisconsin!

Any information is helpful!

Thank you,

Pat

Jack, Thank you I truly appreciate you going back to the mall and obtaining the pictures, Sorry for the slow reply, my mom fell and broke her ankle so things have been a little crazy here.
The funny thing is I looked you up on facebook because the cousin I am helping received your info from another researcher and no I don't think you are crazy :)

Family
Sir,

You seem to have some resources and an investigative mind. I've used all the 'free' internet resources I can find and still I'm trying to press back one more generation.
I am looking for Johann Joseph and Elizabeth (Kruse)Dueweke, immigrated 1857.
John and Elizabeth(Driesbach)Brinkmann.
Anthony and Theresa(Arnst)Nagel.
They are all from the same time frame. Have you seen these names anywhere?
There is a wonderful French-Canadian genealogy group but I can find no such group for the Germans. Their goal was to 'Americanize' as quickly as possible.

Thanks for your participation in 'Find a Grave'.

Henry Grim
Hi I was wondering if you have any other information on Henry Grim. I believe it's a friend I'm doing ancestry research for's grandfather. I don't have much information other than he died in 1961 and his name. If you have any info that would be great. I know the likely hood that you do have any info is not good but I thought I would try. Thank you!
