Clara Harris Rathbone #13980435
The photo you posted on the page for this Clara Harris (best known for her association with Abraham Lincoln) was thought for decades to be of her, but I've learned in recent years that the photo may in fact be of someone else with a similar name. More info at:

I just noticed the fine photo you added to her memorial and the historical information too. Thank you very much!

Mrs. Bee
RE: Lula Mclean
Dear Jim,

Thanks for getting in touch again. I don't believe you had previously asked that question and no, I do not know how Lula died. I checked the Library of Congress newspaper database for the year of death and her surname in Virginia and District of Columbia papers and did not turn up a death notice.

The Alexandria Gazette is on microfilm in the Local History / Special Collections department of the Alexandria Public Library (and some other places). That would be the likeliest publication to contain a death notice, especially if she passed away locally. Still, there's no guarantee that the death notice would give a cause.

Best wishes,

Mrs. Bee

Mrs. Bee
McLean family
Dear Jim Burke,

Thanks for your query about the McLeans. I will check my records and photos when I get a moment.

Nearly every known burial at St. Paul's is already logged on Find A Grave, including some unmarked burials.

The name McLean is spelled several different ways. To find them all, try entering "McL" and "McC" as the last name. You can also enter a first initial and partial last name. I hope this helps.

If you find errors, please send me another message or use the Suggest A Correction feature.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Bee
