RE: Eternal Hills!
George,

I submitted a photo for Kevin Powell and then realized it was the wrong dates.

You'd be surprised how many Keven Powell's are buried in this cemetery. I apologize! I need to look through my pictures I took to find the correct Kevin Powell. Please re-open the photo request. Again, I apologize. I'll submit it as soon as I get through all these photos (321).

Take care,

K

RE: Ellington Family
Thanks for your kind offer regarding the Ellington family! My mom was an Ellington. She's been gone since 1996. My last Ellington cousin died 3 years ago...he was my 1st cousin but was 17 yrs older than I. Neither of Mom's brothers had children so no one of our line carries-on with the surname.

Hi George, sorry I don't have any info on a Jody White. I do have a questions for you: what is the name of the cemetery in Newton County on Eagle Road that it being relocated. I've been reading about it in the CovNew. Thanks, Joyce

Lena White
Hi George, I know there is a memorial for her at the Ellington cemetery; but there was also one at the Byrd Cemetery that Bud did earlier when he surveyed the Byrd Cemetery. I deleted his memorial; however, it is on the Newton County Byrd Cemetery list and there is a marker for her; so I created another one. If you have an edit, let me know. Birdgirl aka Joyce

Marion Eugene Williams
George,

On second thought, I'll remove the photo. I didn't like the quality and will go and search again this coming week. Sorry! Again, if you are familiar with his burial, I'll search again next week.

Best regards,

K

George,

I searched Corinth multiple times with no luck finding Marion Williams. I did take a photo and posted it of a Williams family plot with his memorial. I did so because there are four unmarked graves within this family plot. If you know where he is buried I will go back and check. My thoughts are that he is buried within this family plot but his marker has been lost or destroyed. If you are unhappy with the photo I posted, I will remove it.

Take care,

K

I noticed a mistake on family links concerning his mom.
His grandmother is erroneously listed as his mom.

His mom was Mary Lou Gray Paxton Memorial # 176754803-
I wanted to send an edit in the editor states that you had editing tied up at this juncture in time. I hope you are making this correction.

Haha! The phone is mystery. I tried to get her father's headstone in the picture as well just in case her temporary marker is lost or family will know in relation to either where the other is.

Thank you for bringing the photo to my attention. I try to get the best images requested.

Take care,

K

#81781031 Mourning Wynne Stapp
Mr. Ellington, Mourning Wynne Stapp is the fourth great-grandmother of my husband. Her husband was Solomon Stapp (b. 17??-Virginia d.after 1835 in Georgia) Mr. Stapp was responsible for development of this area. I believe there is a State Park named for him. Mourning was born ca. ?? in Campbell Co., VA and died in January, 1795 in Morgan Co., GA. They were married 30 Dec 1794 in Morgan Co., GA. Solomon's parents were John Stapp and Martha Evans. Mourning's parents were Jones Wynne and Lavina ?. I am searching for their gravesites. Solomon's grandson, Milton Cook Stapp #46401932, served in the CSA. He was wounded in battle and was paroled at Appomattox Court House at the close of the War. He lived to the ripe age of 103. Thank you for all that you do in your research. It is most appreciated! Blessings.

Hi Duke,

I did go out to the cemetery today since it was such a pretty day here in Columbus. I located her marker and there was not a plate on there giving her date of death. It still remains the same as the picture that is already on this site.
I did take a picture showing that if you would like me to send to you.

Sorry, this was not as you hoped for.

Take care,
Sandy Guthrey

Ray Carter Walker, Mexia City Cemetery
Evening George,
When I noted that I had no infor on her, that was just for the library.
Today I went back and found the funeral home that performe the service, obtained the location and went out and took the fotos.
The problem was that instead of being buried with the Walker's she was buried with her original people, the Carter family.
I was surprised to find your request deleted but no problem, the fotos are published and that is what is important.
So, have fun with the info and I was glad to have been able to assist U.
For informational purposes, U might want to transfer the "plot location" from the overview foto to the location info on the memorial.
Later, James Coston

Walker plot in Mexia Cemetery

Morning George,
Question, and I hope U are a family member and will have knowledge of the Walker family plot.
Oree and Aubrey are buried side-by-side under a shade tree. They are actually in Section F, not Section A as the records indicate. If possible, please change that info on the memorials.
My question on Ray Estelle. I found -no- marker for her, however, there is an unmarked grave next to Aubrey, Oree on the left and the other on his right. I am able to check below ground and there is an adult female buried there.
The library was closed yesterday when I went to check their records, which give location of who is buried next to whom, not alphabetical order.
That is invaluable for figuring out who is in an unmarked grave ...........
I would go back today but they are closed on Sunday. If U don't know for sure, then I will go back in a few days and check their records.
I live on a working ranch which requires chores to be done so I'll post the fotos in a few days when I catch up on business here.
Later, James Coston
