Bio

Since learning about the existence of Find A Grave about two years ago, my interest in things historical has peaked. In school, I found history slightly interesting, but not really all that relevant. Now, I have a new respect for history, and largely as a result of Find A Grave, have taken on a major genealogical research project of my own family roots. While doing this, I learned that I am a great-great-great grandson of John Wheeler Bunton, one of the architects and heroes of the Republic of Texas.

I am 51 years old, and have a lovely wife with whom I share my home and a number of interests, not to mention an unusual sense of humor. By occupation, I am a cashier, but I have many interests. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Biology. Besides my continued enjoyment of Mathematics study, I also like to read on a wide variety of subjects, including Egyptology, etymology (word origins), trivia, and home improvement, among others. I also spend a great deal of time actually working on my home, where I have accomplished a great deal of remodeling. I also enjoy drawing, and occasionally design and build small pieces of furniture for my home.

I come from a family of twelve children, and have lived at literally every pole of the country, having moved from Texas to California, from California to New Jersey, from New Jersey to Indiana, and back to Texas again. Living in such diverse areas of the country gives one a better perspective on people and helps to keep life interesting too. That's what I think I gain from Find A Grave, an interesting and energizing experience.

To all you Find A Gravers out there, keep digging, one never knows what one will unearth.
