John Henry Young, Highly Respected Citizen Found Dead in Bed.
Lifeless Body Was Discovered at Early Hour Friday Morning at Home of His Daughter Plum Street. Remains Will Be Shipped to Cavett, Van Wert County, For Burial.

John Henry Young, a most highly respected citizen of Greenville was found dead in bed at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Isaac Zellers, 206 Plum Street, at 4:45 o'clock Friday morning.
Mr. Young since the death of his wife about ten years ago, at Cavatt, Van Wert County, Ohio, has made his home with his daughter in this city.
Thursday, Mr. Young was attended to matters pertaining to gardening and dusting carpets, etc., and appeared to be in his usual health, and when he retired Thursday night nothing unusual was noticed.
When his daughter went to arouse him at the usual hour Friday morning, he failed to respond to the call, and an investigation proved that during the hours of night the Death Angel had gathered him to the fold.
John Henry Young was born in the State of New York, September 30, 1831, and at the time of his death was 77 years, 6 months and 9 days old.
His wife preceded him in death about ten years ago. He is survived by two daughters, four sons, many grandchildren and other relatives and a very large circle of friends.
The remains will be shipped to Cavett, Ohio, five miles north of Van Wert, Saturday morning at 10:23 o’clock via Cincinnati Northern, where funeral services will be held and the remains interred beside those of his wife.
Dr. H.A. Snorf, who was summoned to the Zeller home, pronounced that death was due to heart trouble and Coroner J. H. Monger of Gettysburg was also summoned, and gave as his verdict that death was due to heart trouble, superinduced by an attack of grip, with which the deceased had been afflicted for about ten days.
