James Carey was the son of Michael and Margaret Hennessy Carey who immigrated from Ireland to the US in the 1870s. James married Elizabeth L Harding 15 June 1904. Together they had five children: James Francis Carey (1905-1994), Donald Michael Carey (1907-1971), John Harding Carey (1910-1978), Joseph Robert Carey (1912-1997), Elizabeth Eileen Carey Sharbaugh (1915-1998). He is greatly missed by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
