Rev. Dr. David Dempsey Campbell was the son of Rev. David B. and Martha B. (Dodson) Campbell. He was the husband of Effie Augusta (Partch) Campbell. He was a minister in the Kansas Conference/Puget Sound Conference and the Central New York Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He was licensed to preach by Rev. Dr. William Cox at Alliance, Ohio May 1872 - ordained Deacon by Bishop Thomas Bowman March 1878 - ordained Elder by Bishop William Logan Harris March 1882.
