Hardin Farmer Succumbs at 86 HARDIN Funeral services for Jake Lawson Blackburn, 86, who died at his home 12 miles south of Hardin, will be held- at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hardin Baptist Church. The Rev RJ Kennedy and the Rev E. E. Fitch will officiate.. Burial will be in the Hardin Cemetery. Mr. Blackburn died at 6 a.m. Sunday after a year's illness. He was born Aug. 12, 1869, at West Jefferson, Ashe County, NC.He came to Montana in 1914 and settled at Big Timber, moving in 1917 to the farm south of He was married July 4, 1939, at Crow Agency to Hulda Massey Newsom. He leaves his wife; two sons, J. S. Blackburn of Billings and Clinton Blackburn of Boone, N.C.; four daughters, Mrs. C. V. Mabe and Mrs. Howard Wagner of Hardin, Mrs. H. B. Hudson of Rexford and Mrs. H. W. Delp of St. Ignatius; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Bullock Mortuary.
