Mrs. Eva M. Harry...Eva M., daughter of Mary and John Francis, was born in New York, June 29, 1872 and departed this life August 4, 1939 at the age of 67 years, 1 month, 6 days. She was of a family of three children, Ben Francis preceding her in death. She was united in marriage to Peter Harry, March 30, 1889. To this union two sons were born, Marion F. of Farwell and Frank L. of Shepherd. She was united with the Church of Christ here in Shepherd a number of years ago. She leaves to mourn her loss the father of Alma, one sister, Mrs. Minnie McFarlane of St. Louis, the two sons, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was the eldest of the family of three children and has spent the greatest portion of her life in Shepherd, and her life, like the average wife and mother, has been a sacrificial one, lived largely for her loved ones. She has been a patient sufferer for a long time, and death comes as a sweet relief.
Peace to her sacred memory.

She Speaketh Yet
And still her silent Ministry
Within my heart hath place,
As when on earth she walked with me,
And met me face to face
Her life is forever mine.
What she to halt been.
Halt left henceforth its seal and sign
Engraved deep within.
