Irene S. Kirk, age 85, of Hilliard, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 24, 1926 to the late Anthony and Sophie (Koenig) Fifer.
Irene retired from Sears in 1991 after 21 years of dedicated service. She also volunteered for Fore Hope Handicap Golf for over 20 years. Irene was a long time member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Fifer.
She is survived by
her loving husband of 63 years, Duncan A. Kirk;
daughter, Debbie (Tom Rook) Kirk Maynard;
son, Scott (Kimberly) Kirk;
grandchildren, Brooke (Nick) Maynard Linz, Heather (Nick) Maynard Wunder, Tiffany Kirk, Cameron Kirk, and Mackenzie Kirk;
sisters, Frieda Morrison and Doris (Bob) Vargo;
several nieces and nephews.
