Born June 14, 2010 in Hancock, MD., he was the son of the late William E. and Estella P. Hill Exline, and the husband of Alice B. Hull Exline, his first wife, who died May 17, 1981, and his second wife, Betty Louise Gipe Exline, who died September 28, 2007.
He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the U.S. Army.
He was retired, as a Lineman, from United Telephone Company in Chambersburg, PA.
He attended Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, Hancock, MD.
He is survived by three sons; Anthony "Dale" Exline and wife Trudy K., Donald Lee Exline and wife Brenda K., Ernest E. Exline and wife Robin Renae, all of Hancock, MD., one sister, Mary E. Yost of Hagerstown, MD., nine grandchildren, two step-granddaughters, eleven great-grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Jean Exline.
A service will be held Wednesday, June 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, MD. Rev. Philip Unger will officiate. Burial, with military rites by the Tri-State Honor Guard, will be in Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Cemetery.
