Dave Burns Sanford, 92, of Springfield, died Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Golden Living Center. Graveside services were conducted Saturday, July 18 in the Memorial Gardens with Dr. Donnie Bryant officiating. Mr. Sanford was born May 2, 1917, in Logan County, Ky., to the late Colby and Drucilla Knight Sanford. He was a farmer and a member of Two Rivers Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sanford was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Mae McCarter Sanford, his daughters, Juanita Mae Watson, Shirley Meadows, and Vickie Sanford, and by a grandchild, Angela Rippy. He is survived by a son, David Sanford of Greenbrier; daughter, Lois Lyne of Adairville, Ky.; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren. Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
