ELSIE GLASS STALLINS
Elsie Glass Stallins, 94, of 110 Dawson Springs Road, Princeton, died Saturday January 30 at her home following a long illness.
Funeral services were held Monday February 1, at Morgan's Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Glass officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jerry Easley and the Rev. James Noble McKinney. Burial followed in Cross Roads Cemetery.
A native of Caldwell County, she was born October 28, 1898, a daughter of the late George A. and Mary Elizabeth Moore Glass. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester H. Stallins in 1967; one son, Louard Stallins and one foster son, Roy Karnes.
Mrs. Stallins was postmaster and a grocer at Claxton and a member of Beulah Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, G. W. Stallins of Shelbyville; Vernon Stallins of Caldwell County; Doward Stallins of Cape Giradeau, Missouri; and Dean Stallins of Hopkinsville; three daughters, Dorothy Nichols and Velma Orange, both of Caldwell County and Lucille Young of Princeton; 20 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
