Funeral services for Henry Hayden Kirk, 69, a retired post office employee died at the Veteran's Hospital in Wichita on Wednesday morning will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Blossom Funeral Home with Dr. Duff D. Wagoner officiating.
Burial will be in the family plot in Oakwood Cemetary.
Mr Kirk who had been in failing health for serveral years last entered the hospital 2 months ago.
Mr Kirk was born at Hazel Valley, Arkansas, on January 21,1892, where he grew to manhood. He was a Veteran and served overseas in World War I and following the war was in the Army of Occupation there.
He came to Parsons in 1915 and had resided here since that time. On March 3, 1920, he was married to Ethel Morning of Parons at Cathage Mo.
Mr Kirk was a member of the First Methodist Church of Parsons; the Brown-Bishop Post. V.F.W.: and the Veterans of World War I.
Survivors include, his wife, Mrs Ethel Kirk of the home; four sisters, Mrs Alpha Prater of Grove, Oklahoma, Mrs Bertha Claypool of Springdale, Arkansas, Mrs Dove Ramsey of Richmond, California and Mrs Jewel Helfrich of Syracruse, Kansas: five brothers, Desse of Fayetteville, Arkansas, James of Parsons, Ernest of Westville, Oklahoma, Oscar of Toledo, Oregon and Charles of Springdale, Arkansas; also many nieces and nephews and other distant relatives
