Mr. Bragg was born on January 4, 1918 in Fitzgerald, GA. He was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was a civil service employee at Cochran Field and Robins Air Force Base until his retirement in 1974. Mr. Bragg lived in Macon for a number of years. He was an active member of the Golden K Kiwanis Club, holding numerous leadership positions, including that of secretary and club President. He also served as Lieutenant Governor for the State Kiwanis organization. He was chosen the Outstanding Kiwanian of the Year in 2001. Mr. Bragg and his wife, Martha Woodson Bragg, married in 1969. Together they were tireless volunteers for the Macon/Bibb County Meals on Wheels Program and received the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2004. Mr. Bragg also volunteered for numerous Red Cross Blood Drives and for the Georgia Junior Miss Pageant. Mr. Bragg was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Bragg, Sr., a son, Edgar R. Bragg III., a brother, William Harris Bragg, and a sister, Eleanor Bragg Bessemer.
