Hattie M. Benjamin, 78, Rt. 3, Monticello, died at 6 a.m., Sept. 19 at the White County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Kentucky March 13,1901, she was the daughter of Henry and Hattie Lee (Towler) Wilson. She was married
Oct. 31, 1929, to Clarence Benjamin, who died March 2, 1968.
A member of the Zion Bethel Church, she had lived in the Monticello community most of her life
Surviving are nine daughters; one son, three stepdaughters, including Mary Emma Benjamin, Delphi; one
stepson, 55 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sept. 22, with burial at the Warden Cemetery in White County.
