Ricky Lee Mullican, 56, of Norman, passed away peacefully in his home July 17, 2011, after a lengthy illness. He was born to Rilley D. and Laura (Nicki Callahan) Mullican on Aug. 19, 1954, in Anadarko.

He grew up in and graduated high school in Anadarko before moving to Norman in 1976. Ricky worked for Westinghouse, Star Buildings and York International during the 35 years he lived in Norman. He enjoyed watching OU football, fishing, shooting pool and playing softball. He was a compassionate and loving husband, father, grandpa and friend. Rick was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rilley D. Mullican, and brother, Randall Keith Mullican.

Ricky is survived by his wife Barbara Mullican (they were married on May 18, 2001); his son, Joshua Mullican of Norman; his daughter and grandson, Sarah and Adrian Mullican of Moore; stepchildren Sharie Vaughn of Norman, Bill and Amy Vaughn of Norman, Gary and Sandra Vaughn of Norman, Richard and Sheila Vaughn of Noble and Chris Vaughn of Norman; stepgrandchildren Parker, Jennifer, Ashley, Dylan, Nate, Jessica, Julia and Kegan; great-granddaughter, Lillian; and his mother, Laura (Nicki Callahan) Mullican of Ozark, Mo. He is also survived by three brothers, David and his wife Mary Mullican of Prairie Grove, Ark., Danny Mullican and Roger Mullican of Vinita; four sisters, Carolyn Marrow of Anadarko, Terry Martin of Ozark, Linda and Timmy Bilyeeu of Lookeba and Vicki and Don Wells of Chickasha; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Monday and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Primrose. Services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Primrose Funeral Home, 1109 N. Porter, Norman. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery 2301 E. Indian Hills Road, Norman.
